    Hi guys

Hope you are all having a lovely BH Monday so far, even those who are working! I've updated the first post so shout if I have got anything wrong - I must confess to being somewhat hungover - unexpected night out last night  I don't feel bad, I very rarely have a big night out like that and I enjoyed every second of it! Also, managed to only spend £30, which includes £11 on taxis and £3.70 for my dirty chicken burger at the end! Think I got off very lightly there as always had a drink in my hand...no idea how I've managed this!!! :rotfl:

Today on my way back from my friend's house this morning where I stayed, I nipped into Tesco and got tons of bargains - those lovely Tesco Finest salads in the square pots, usually 2 for £3.50? Yeah, 47p each! Get in! I got 4! Plus, the use by date isn't until 31st so I wonder if they made a bit of a c*ck up there!!! Also houmous (rosemary and thyme flavour, yum!) for 52p. And I treated myself to a granary baguette and 2 slices of Somerset cider ham from the deli counter (£1.06!!!!!!! Daylight robbery!) so I'll have ham salad baguette for lunch, also utilising my free spring onions as on offer, and my reduced organic cherry vine tomatoes and reduced little gem lettuce. I had two bags full of shopping and I spent £7.99! :D

I was naughty though and had to feed my hangover with a bacon and cheese wrap from Greggs....... :o

And a starbucks, but that was free as I had one voucher left from when I complained! Pretty bargainous day really! :T

    Spends so far then:

    Sun 28 Aug - Night out - £30
    Mon 29 Aug - Tesco etc - £10

    Total so far: £40/£90

    Planned spends:
Weds - BK for friend to say thanks for lending money (no idea how much BK costs, am sure it's extortionate! say £8?), £10 pay back friend, maybe some cigs or baccy £6, £6? for passport photos for driving license update. I've got the £20 to buy the new photocard budgeted separately to be fair, so probably won't count it in my weekly spends.
Planned spends - £30 but I am positive I've forgotten stuff!

Cor, that was a ramble and a half from me today!!!

Have a great day all, gorgeous weather! :D

    Evening everyone!

I'm pledging £20 for this week please LC, as I'm going away for the weekend on Friday so only budgeting Sun-Thurs.

So far haven't had a great start to the week... I blame the bank holiday weekend!! Spent £6.35 on a couple of drinks last night (although saved on the extortionate £5 entrance fee for walkabout as I knew the doorman!) and total spend today is £7.65. Hmm. Tomorrow I need to get a couple of bits from Tesco but that should come from a different budget. So hopefully won't spend more than my remaining £6 before Friday :undecided

Hope everyone's had a good long weekend (even if you're working!)

  • I'm going have to up my budget to £40 as all of my toiletries that have run out (face cream, fash wash & deodorant) were on offer... I needed them & they were half price...

    Hi guys

First post up to date again.

dnms I don't blame you for getting your toiletries - I had the same last month, there was about 5 things I needed one of, but then I had some on 3 for 2, which, as I always use the same stuff, does work out cheaper for me in the long run, obviously I got! And there was my mascara on offer as well, no money off, but they were chucking in a free eye shadow, which happened to be my everyday one! (and worth something like £6.50). They last forever but still, it was too good to miss, so I got two mascaras and thus two free eye shadows, but that was unbudgeted! and the 3 for 2s got me as well. But I think if you know you will use it, then it is techniclally saving money long term, just changing when you are spending that money!

Back to work tomorrow (for most), at least it's a four day week! I'm not based in my office tomorrow, I have to go to one that is a little further away, about 7 miles, however it's all motorway so not worried. I am worried about what I have to do there, I'm going with another engineer and our boss has told us separately that if what we are trying to do goes wrong, then the director will want someone's head for it, and he won't let it be his.

    No pressure then.

I hate my job sometimes :(

hi - i'd like to pledge £30 for this week please (starting today). Last week was a bit of a write off because i ended up paying out for some extra bits for food/drink (we did our hen party at home to save some cash and got ppl to bring food and drink to contribute too - was lovely :) ) - paid for it with a huge hangover yesterday tho lol!

not alot on this week other than paying for work parking. Going to Morecambe to visit an elderly family member for the weekend on friday till sun so will spend extra on petrol this week, but will no doubt get it all back as we always get treated when we visit.

NSD for me today and yesterday :j

I am on nightshift tonight so we'll see if I can cope without my usual trip to tesco to buy red bull. I'm taking porridge for break time. :)
