Such a scandal that DLA was refused, There we have SCUM bag junkies who feed there bodies with heroin and what ever else they take.

Not forgetting immigrants who were once illegal and claimed asylum. Think they have more rights than anyone.

They get, DLA, Mobility, Incapacity benefit, Free bus passes.... Why!!!

Immigrants granted full residence rights (Indefinite Leave to Remain) can apply for the same benefits as citizens can. That's why.

They don't have any more rights than anybody else.

And asylum seekers are not allowed to work or claim benefits.

You will not help people refused DLA by spouting this bigoted nonsense.

And if you think I am wrong about the facts, give yours. Give your proof.

I think it's more that this thread is to help the OP through a very difficult time with regard to a specific issue which you are completely sidetracking and which is not helpful of you at all.
If you want an immigration rant, go and start your own thread somewhere else.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.
  • Eeek.. not going to get involved in the politics..sure I have my own views but all I want is the right decision for my daughter.I want DWP to follow their OWN guidelines and rules.
Do they not realise the bloody STRESS caused by them making such dumb decisions? And how much money does it cost for them to have to go through appeal processses..tribunals?If only they got it right in the first place!!
Well..feeling determined after everyones input on here-thankyou.Will go in all guns blazing if they won't reconsider..welfare rights, paediatricians, council benefits officers,MP,papers..whatever it takes..they are NOT going to get away with this!!My baby girl fought hard just to even be here today and I'm not letting some dumbo at DWP belittle her journey or daily struggle just because they obviously cannot read!!!

I dont want any rant about immigration, I was ranting how people who dont need DLA, mobility etc get it and those who do get refused.
  • It is very annoying you're right.People with ficticious back injuries get the DLA then people like my daughter who have been ill since birth get refused.I know the have to weed out the false claimants but I am truly truly shocked at the decision made for my daughter and many others who are very clearly genuine. The person or "decision maker" in this case needs a slap!

I understand. And I am really sorry, and yes, they should follow their own rules.

Hi I work in welfare Rights. In this situation I would normally write a letter asking for DWP to reconsider the decision. I would also include letters of support from Doctors, care givers etc, not detailing illnesses but care needs. They then go back to your original form and another decision maker reviews it. t takes the same time again but is often very sucessful. If this fails, get a Welfare Rights Officer and go to appeal.
