Right then! thats it! a brand new spreadsheet for me. Actually I like the idea of a good old fashioned notebook. chances are ill keep up with it better !

So what do you include? for example today, I had estimated that the sweets for a sweety box for xmas would cost £5 but it actually only cost £3...is that a saving of £2.

Also another example today, wanted harry potter, cheapest I can find is £5.50 is this a saving on the RRP of £10.99 (which i never would have paid?)

or is it anything and everythin??

:ABeing Thrifty Gifty again this year:A

I just use plain old pen and paper too! :o

Personally, I record any expenditure where I've made some sort of saving. I try to be realistic about the amounts that I record as 'savings' though. If, for example, I buy something for £45 and the RRP is £99, I'd normally only count the discount off the amount that I would have realistically been prepared to pay. :)

It doesn't really matter how you record things really - just whatever works for you. Happy saving! ;)

Hi jo_b I have pm'd you the cashback guide - now, will you follow the routine daily...? Depends what baby allows I guess :o I manage 4 times per week, so that's not bad out of 7 days. I try not to think what my total cashback would be if I did it 7 days...:D :p

I second what EagerLearner advises about the daily click schedule. She very kindly sent one to me too and I try to do it every single day(although can't always manage the full 7 days a week:eek: ). In the past few months the money has certainly mounted up without having to do very much for it. If you're on the pc anyway it's no extra work really. The only thing to remember in the early stages is to keep clearing the cookies, but once that becomes second-nature you'll be earning money from clicks on automatic-pilot:rotfl:

    Take care

Thanks. I already do daily clicks at Quidco which add up alongside cashback for purchases and offers.

I'm a member of a lot of the other cashback sites already (freefivers and TCB amongst others.) I don't know if I've got the patience to do all those different clicks every day :o but I might start using a few and seeing if I can build a steady trickle of extra money. ;)

Went to Tesco on Thursday and used £16.16 worth of vouchers (including the health and beauty ones).
Saved £8.58 on BOGOFs and earned 1159 clubcard points! :j

I need those clubcard points as I've just used a load to go towards a couple of days in Blackpool over half-term! :T

I've booked the B&B based on a recommendation from the Travel board.

    Just ordered:

    ===================================================
1 x Blackpool Pleasure Beach Wristband Token - 11yrs and under
    £3.75 in Clubcard Vouchers ( 1 @ £3.75 each )
Harry Ramsden's Tokens to the value of £25.00
    £6.25 of Clubcard Vouchers used
Days Out Tokens to the value of £40.00
    £10.00 of Clubcard Vouchers used

That's a saving of £80 in hard cash which is great as we are so skint at the minute and everything seems to be due - including OH's car insurance this month!

Also got a £5 Morrisons voucher yesterday for filling up with petrol. :)

Last week I got a free Letts study guide worth £3.99 and a subscription copy of She magazine and Easy Living, saving on the full price. ;)

Just taken out car insurance through Topcashback which is Quidco's main rival. :)

Insurance was £28.18 cheaper than the renewal and we should get some cashback too!

Post's just arrived - my Tesco deal tokens have arrived already! :j

Also received a free pot of Plum Baby baby food - I'll have to look at Tesco.com to work out how much that's worth and add it to my savings total for the week! :rotfl: (Edit: worth £1!)

Also sold a book on Amazon yesterday and earnt £2.36 after p&p.

Got some items listed on ebay and all have bids so looking good. All very low value stuff but should get a couple of quid after fees and postage.

OH's car insurance through Topcashback hasn't tracked yet...not panicking just yet... :o

Sold a book on Greenmetropolis. Will get £1.60 after postage costs.
All my ebay items sold - received £8.03 after fees and postage!

I don't think I'm going to get rich quick! ;)

On the downside - my MOT's due next month along with the house insurance! (At least I can get cashback on the insurance though) ;)

Edit- I've just taken out a buildings insurance policy with Natwest via Quidco. The policy is £9.54 cheaper than my renewal premium and I get to pay monthly with no additional charge which is lucky as we are pretty skint at the minute!

I should get £120 cashback through Quidco and it's moved to validated within an hour of taking the policy out which looks promising! I've just got to sort out the home contents next ... and earn another lot of cashback there!
