    Evening all,

been rather a nice day here, although rain was promised it didn't arrive and I got all 3 lots of washing in dry.

Went to see cousin who had stroke this afternoon...he is having physiotherapy and speech and language therapy which is tiring him out, but is making progress, too slowly for his liking but am sure he will get back to some level of independence, even if it takes months.

Dinner to-day was lamb chops with turnip, fried onions and fried potatoes left over from yesterday when I cooked too many. Potatoes are very good at present, I love dry, floury potatoes with lots of butter, wonderful for bringing down my cholesterol count!

Blew my August budget by about €30 so am not buying anything else before September....there is dried milk in cupboard if we run out, anything else can be substituted for something else.

Thunder has been missing for a couple of days, but I put out his food a few minutes ago and called him, he came running, naughty boy upsetting his Mammy. Never been any sign of Sile for months, so have convinced myself that she has adopted another family, don't want to think of alternative.

Ivy...those cushions are very comfortable, look after yourself and don't fret too much about the hoovering!

Not too sharp to-day, don't remember what anybody said, so hugs to all, sleep well and stay safe
