  • Hiya,

Purchased one of the Nano Lite deals through Groupon. What a pile of ....
Like many of you on here, I have tried without success to get a reaction from Nano Lite and also Groupon.
I also threatened the small claims courts as someone did in one of the earlier threads on here. No reaction.
So, I posted a public comment on their Facebook page.
    Now they respond.
Funny that.... once it goes into the public forum......
I have been given a different address sm.support@groupon.co.uk for this complaint.
Try it if you haven't tried this one before.
At least I have a ticket complaint tracking number now.
    Good Luck!:rotfl:
  • My process was - contacted Box Network - got postage refunded and sent box of doodoo (also know as a Nano lite 4gb) back to them tracked. Once signed for, got email confirmation from Box Network saying that they had received it.

Then sent that email to Groupon to get refund.

Groupons response was poor and took a lot of chasing up. I finally got an email apologising from the lady below. Took over a month to get a response from Groupon other than their standard " We are receiving a high level of emails....."

Refund then took another 5 days, although £10 Groupon credit was immediate.

Persevere - quite frankly Groupn should be embarassed at offering this rubbish. In defence of Groupon I did take up their offer of an oivernight stay in Devon which was excellent value.
  • Hi, just to let you know I have received an email to notify me that I will receive a full refund from Groupon once I return the item to nanolite / the box network and get confirmation that it has been received. I have been told i'll get a refund for the postage from nanolite. So i'll only be out of pocket by the amount it costs me to post it back. I'm happy enough with that, not ideal but I'll live with it.

I too only got a response once I posted on Groupon's facebook page.

Hopefully all the refunds will come as promised.

Hope everyone else gets some satisfaction. I've since purchased an ipod nano on ebay. How nanolite have the nerve to advertise their device as being "similar in quality and functionality" as the ipod is beyond me. They're not even in the same universe, let alone the same league. False and misrepresentative advertising.
  • KGB are just as bad as Groupon. I purchased one of these things from KGB which never worked from day 1. I was in touch with the seller who advised that he would organise a refund. However, after a couple of weeks he said he would only refund the postage and KGB would have to refund the purchase price (why he didn't tell me that at the start!). So been in touch with KGB on 3 occasions now and all I keep getting is that they are dealing with my query. VERY FRUSTRATING! So as yet, still out out pocket for both postage and product but hey its only 6 weeks and counting!
  • Thanks folks, was just about to order 2 nano lites from Groupon and thought I should check out your comments - SOOOOoooooooo glad I did!!!! Think will stick with orignal plan of buying Sansa Clip - any bad reviews on this product??? :j

With any product you will get one or two people who have had a bad experience but I can say that I have two Clips (so that when away I get double the battery life - a second clip is much smaller than a battery charger) and I love them. Small, light, neat, and with excellent sound quality.

  • Unfortunately I did not read this forum before ordering my nanolites, and 4 weeks ago placed an order for 2 of them through the Groupon deal.

Having chased for an expected delivery, I received a very prompt reply (within 1/2 hr) stating it was to be dispatched soon. I have now received one of the nanolites (and I have to say, everyone here is correct in saying the build quality is not good). So, I emailed them immediately asking when the other one is going to be received, now bearing in mind tomorrow is the last post for 1st class christmas delivery... they're response isn't so prompt this time, my inbox is empty.

I fully understood the delivery was between 2-4 weeks, but we are now just past the 4 weeks.

However, I have just noticed that the Groupon paperwork states I should pay £9.95 for 2 players, but looking back at the emails I received, I only paid £4.95 (this was automatic on their website, I have clearly bought and ordered 2). Wondering if this has caused some problems their end.

Having received one, I can see the quality of the accessories isn't good, and I doubt very much I will now receive the other one in time for Christmas. I cannot say to my son "yours is in the post", whilst my daughter happily plays on hers on Christmas day. Other than emails, not sure what else I can do here....

Bought and paid for two Groupons for the MP3 Nano Lite. Waited a month for them to arrive and when they did they were such rubbish quality that I emailed the company, on two separate emails to ask for a full refund.

Heard nothing back so complained to Groupon, who didn't get back to me, complained on their Facebook page and was given an email address to contact. Waited and then chased again for a reply from Groupon ....

Finally hear back from Groupon to be told to keep contacting the other company as there is nothing Groupon can do about it.

Beginning to wish I had never heard of Groupon.

I am now stuck with two rubbish MP3 players, with not much hope of getting a refund and what is worse ...is that despite all these complaints Groupon keep offering the same MP3 Nano Lite Deal!!! ...How are they allowed to get away with this???

I got the same BS from Groupon, Did a charge back my credit card and got an instant refund from Groupon

  • In common with many site users I also purchased these devices via groupon. After many emails phone calls etc I have eventually received refund for the 2 shoddy nanolites but am getting nowhere regarding refund of p&p from the box network. I have various emails promising a refund of my money dating back to 29/11/11 but no money. Thanks to groupon I am now£17.60 out of pocket for using their site for this "deal" and no one ( bank ; paypal) seems to be able to do a thing to stop this company making a very tidy living out of charging for inflated postage and pocketing it.
Groupon continues to support them by offering this manky merchandise very frequently.
There are other sites which feature like experiences.Do not touch with a bargepole!!!
