Well done Mr B :j
I hope you and your family have a lovely Christmas, you all deserve it. :beer:0 -
So it's 5.30am and I'm sitting here with a mug of tea having tidied the lounge and kitchen after doing a 7km trundle. Am feeling incredibly positive about everything. Aside from the main task of today - which is to enjoy a lovely Saturday with Mrs B and the little Bloaters, I would also like to update my giant tracking spreadsheet that records all the debts, due dates, weight, runs, etc. Am going to break down the giant debt total into smaller chunks - cos I have a feeling that whilst the biggest debt (mortgage) has been declining, this may well have been masking the fact that the CC debt is at an impasse.2011: 301k in debt and morbidly obese (DFW)

Oh dear, Scrooge has arrived just in time for Christmas :rotfl:
Have a great day and don't forget to pop to Mr M's for Pepsi
look out for J2O while you're there - they had it in buy 1 get 2 free last week, £4.29 for 12 :money: A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
Mortgage Balance = £0

Mr B. I get it now! I have big dreams too, actually owning a home would be nice.
And Gallygirl, your post reminded me that in order to save more money I should make up loads of soda stream ready for Christmas instead of buying soft drinks.
Thanks all for the laughs and happy Christmas.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Disco Ball still spinning. A snippet from yesterday.
Mrs B: Get yourself a bottle of wine - you deserve it.
Mr B: I deserve to be fat and poor?
Needless to say the wine was not bought. And I've just done an 8km trundle. It's now a question of sleep or spreadsheet. Both are necessary to maintaining my good vibes about being on track with things.2011: 301k in debt and morbidly obese (DFW)

Morning Mr B,
Might be a stupid question, but what do you do to push yourself to run further? I just about manage 5k on the treadmill with the telly to watch, but you've gone right up to 8k which is wicked (to prove I'm still down with the kids at 47...).
Have been trying to conjure up some motivation (besides not feeling sluggish and fat) but mine appears to have decided to break up for Christmas. Since the end of November.LBM July 2006. Debt free 01 Sept 12 .. :T

@Vikipollard: Music. Simple as that. I had a regular playlist that stood me in good stead for ages but then got totally stale, I switched to speech radio for a bit (World Service mainly) but this morning had XFM on - at that time in the morning there are few adverts and precious little inane babble from the DJ and a solid selection of decent tunes which kept me going further than usual.
Have spent an enjoyable few hours this morning going through old payslips and P60s to see if my tax code has been correct all the way through - it's party time all the way at Maison Bloater!2011: 301k in debt and morbidly obese (DFW)

An interesting link for you, Mr Bloater?
http://www.uncommonhelp.me/articles/how-to-stop-drinking-wine-every-day/
Maybe you could keep a drinks diary for a week or a month, say, of all these bottles of wine which keep cropping up?
It's not going to help with weight loss, sleep patterns or your finances?
I reckon you could potentially make a saving of at least £2k a year, by changing your drinking habits, alone?
It's worth noting, fizzy drinks don't help with weight loss, either..........
Still, if the glitterball says you deserve a bottle of wine to unwind, who am i to say? :rotfl:
Or just say no?Debt free - Is it a state of mind? a state of the Universe? or a state of the bank account?
