Just had about as big a wake-up call as I needed - and have to ditch the couldn't-care-less attitude and start taking this whole endeavour seriously again. Had twisted my knee on the beach last week and feared it might be somewhat iffy whilst running so I put on my knee support thingy - however cos I have chunked up somewhat the support managed to stop bloodflow to my lower leg; half a kilometre into my run it became impossible to continue, walking also proved just as difficult so I ripped the support off and then continued the route unaided (but at walking speed so as not to aggravate anything). Came back to weigh myself to encounter the more-surprising-than-it-should-have-been news that my bulk has ballooned up to 149kg (23stone 6 in old money). This is higher than last year and I believe (although I do not have the drive to look back at the first postings of this thread) that it could be the highest I have been since being on here.

Party time is well and truly over.

Good to read you enjoyed your break - its always the same after time away from it all - the reality kicks in when you are back in familiar surroundings - I guess its the roller coaster of debt and fat busting that lots of people write about on these boards. You will soon be back on track Mr B. and in the mean time I will send you a pattern for that yoghurt ;)

Am not quite sure what message the universe is sending me at the moment - but obviously a life lesson it feels I need to learn is that of how to cope with random annoying pains. Just been out for my 5k trundle - without knee support. Started off brilliantly, then my other knee got a bit twitchy, then my lower back joined in and to top it off my running trainers (which I've worn sockless and troublefree since before this thread even started) decided to start gouging out my heel. Not being a ventroliquist's dummy I found it hard to adapt to the necessary running style required to cope with all of the above, so I continued my route at a brisk walking speed instead.
Came home to find I have dropped a massive 1.8kg (5lb) by just keeping my calories under 2000 yesterday (a quarter of which were comprised of Mrs B's Cava) and so feel very smug with myself. And confidently predict that at this rate I shall have hit my target goal before the month is out.

Please note this is sarcasm. Before any well-meaners add their wisdom about water loss, safe amounts to lose each week, not weighing yourself every day blah blah - I know. But I'm 5lbs lighter than yesterday. And that feels bloody good.

And the first time in my life that I am ready and willing for ebay to do a free listing weekend and they haven't. Boo. Have plenty of stuff all stacked up waiting to go.

    Hope everyone enjoys the sunshine.

Why wait for a FLW o Eb*y? Put the cost of listing into the starting price..............I have given up on waiting for free listing and just do the listing when I have time/motivation because its Sods Law that when it is a FLW I will other wise occupied and if just happens to be a FLW when I am ready to go then its a bonus ;) ALso EVERYBODY lists on FLW so there are lost of auctions finishing at the same time - live dangerously and go against the grain :)

I like the logic Igamogam but I have plenty of stuff that might not sell and so I'd be incurring losses all over the place. It's not often I get to sound like the safe sensible one so I thank you for the oppurtunity.

In other news, done a 5k trundle in crocs on bin day at 7am. My sore knees and heel meant it was a power walk rather than a mercy dash but it still had the same result - down another couple of pounds to 23stone 1 (146.4kg). Half a stone in two days. I can feel a Mr Bloater weight loss book coming on.

Done some spectacular Shed Tetris yesterday resulting in (and we tried it) enough space for my wife and two children to all stand in there. Means we can get to some of the other sellable stuff. Or means I can lock them in there. Either way it's a win-win.
