The not running is in danger of turning into a habit MrB, and it would be a shame to lose the benefit of all that hard work. So make the walk a good one, and try to get out for your run tomorrow. Remember, as you get fitter it will take less time! I also found that running was a good way of destressing from other stuff as it helped clear my mind (I don't know about you, but I can't stress about work or money when I'm concentrating on keeping on breathing...) and sometimes cleared the mental blocks that were causing me problems.0

You sound happier with the ebay result, glad to hear it - but agree with greenbee - don't make notrunning a habit
OTOH, have a lovely first proper holiday day!

I really need a little office or something to co-ordinate all this from - another excuse to reconfigure the shed to allow me a desk in there. Although to my surprise having just done a count, aside from the 60 currently listed, there's only about another 200 items left to sell, so I could have the whole lot sold off soon.
I have a shed for this Eb*y lark - during a 'between jobs' period my OH decided he would build himself a shed at bottom of garden on the understanding there would be a corner of it for me - it got to 'are you sure that doesnt need planning permission' proportions. Once I have cleared it it will become my writing/hobby/escape shedBe the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

Mr. Bloater, Greenbee is right about the running thing - 7 days is enough time to break a forming habit (and if we don't want to live on discipline which is hard and not terribly pleasant we need to develop habits). What helps is doing it with others - even virtual ones. I issued an invitation to you (and any other runners on the forum) on my thread. If you would like to go for it, I'll provide training programmes (not ready ones from the internet - most are rubbish - but one specially designed) and tips on how to build it up gradually and without injury.
Let me know.

At the start of this week I was recovering from a vasectomy, had the mother-in-law finishing her third week at my house, and weighed too much for the Wii Fit to measure me (ie, over 23stone 8).
The fact I have to shift some serious weight too is simply another column on the spreadsheet - a decade ago I weighed 14stone 5.
Right come on Mr B. Tomorrow it will be two months since you first posted (above) and your weight seems to have stalled.
You need to decide what works for you, maybe not 4am I don't know, AND THEN DO IT. I'm sure the running will help with the stress in the other areas of your life. You are not on a holiday from yourself!

From experiance, the best time to end a listing on ebay is Sunday afternoon. Never during the working day (despite the number of office workers who surf the 'bay').
There is a good profit to be made on the net buying and selling. Just know your market.
Nice tip about the self-service tills and the lose change. I have an account at Barclays (just for the free Kaspersky AV) and my local branch has a coin sorter. I can deposit my shrapnel for nothing, then transfer it to my ISA.Never Knowingly Understood.

Dinosaur......make a dinosaur shape on card. Cut him out and use as template for other side. Get flat bit with flaps and stick to the bottom of both (it'll stay up) then add bits to make sturdy - won't be solid but it IS a dinosaur.** Total debt: £6950.82 ± May NSDs 1/10 **** Fat Bum Shrinking: -7/56lbs **

The bright spot of this eBay mess is making me appreciate my daytime job and no matter how much under the cosh I am it has never brought me as much rage, frustration and financial loss as trying to sell some records on eBay. Postage estimates were wrong - even though I used the homemade (dinosaur) packaging I still had to pay £2.73 for the 7" singles (73p loss on postage) and £3.25 for the 12"'s (25p loss). Tie that in with the amount of time packing the flipping things, getting the cardboard from the bins at the back of the Co-Op and then waiting at 8.55am for a post office that stinks of urine and desperation to open, and then upon returning today from a family day out realising all the other stuff I listed had the old postage on, finding out I can't change the postage on stuff with bids on, but can add a note, so have just spent nearly 2 hours editing my 60 current listings. eBaying has been without doubt the single biggest fking mistake I have made since starting this diary. I am in awe of those of who can do it painlessly, but I also think you are a bit mental. I need no motivation whatsoever to get back into running but this ebay lark has left me so fking exhausted that I haven't had the chance. In case you hadn't guessed, I'm a bit riled at the moment.2011: 301k in debt and morbidly obese (DFW)
