  • Good evening, I hope that this is the right forum, i am hoping that someone can help, I dropped some take out pilau rice on my ugg boots and they now have some small grease stains on them, I washed it with water but it just dried and left the stains, Can any one suggest what to clean them with?

Should have cooked dinner instead off being lazy and getting take out!

Cornflour or talc on the stain and leave to absorb, brush out with suede brush, repeat until stains vanish. This does work very well asI dropped a roasted pot on my Uggs on xmas day 2 years ago:eek:

Whatever dont put them in the washing machine x
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

One of my cats was "exploring" and knocked over a 1 litre bottle of the dogs' salmon oil which then fell onto a folded woollen blanket (thick army type).

I didn't discover it until the next day by which time it had soaked all the way through and also into the padded cushion on the chair.

I have washed both items (but only at 30 degrees) and left them out on the line for the best part of a week (rain & wind) but they both still feel a little greasy and smell really fishy.

Obviously they will both have to be washed again (multiple times, I suspect) but has anyone got any ideas how to get them really clean and fresh smelling again?
