I dust a load of talcum powder on the stain and then leave it overnight. Wash then as usual.
This has worked really well for oily stains on my boys' clothes (very grubby eaters!)O/S Weight Loss 1.75/80 -
Have found stain devil to be good at removing all sorts of stains.
There are different ones for different stains - grass, grease, makeup, blood etc etc.
Think they are about £2 each but I got a box of 12 mixed from Aldi ages ago.MARCH £62.38/2500 -

Ditto - this is the only thing that worked on my favourite jumper which got splashed with oil when cooking. I now keep a bottle of it with my washing supplies and it's the first thing I use for any greasy stain.0 -
One of my favourite holiday dresses has a greasy looking mark on the front, I have a feeling that the after-sun spray leaked on it in the suitcase!
The dress is cotton, any ideas how I could remove the mark?

On greasy stains I pour a bit of washing up liquid on leave it for half hour then rinse through, it the stain is more stubborn, leave for a longer or leave to soak in hot water and fairy liquid, but on the whole I find one treatment and then into the machine and the stain disappears0

I splashed myself with fat when frying my bacon this morning. Does anyone know the best way to get the marks out of my clothes please?0
-
a lot depends on the fabric which has been splashed. sometimes just washing in a high temp wash will do it. you could try putting some washing up liquid or liquid soap straight on the splash marks and then washing. sometimes they will then come straight out.0

Paper towel over the solidified fat and iron it with a warm iron. I.e. treat as candle wax.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0

I would second the iron over absorbent paper, otherwise as hot a wash as the garment can stand to make sure the heat melts the grease as well as the washing agent digesting/removing it."Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass...it's about learning how to dance in the rain." ~ Vivian Greene0
