Yes, as you said, keep trying and finally with a bit more effort I got there.
And as is often the case with stuff like this actually it's quite simple and straightforward once you've sussed it.
But not possible until you've managed to have it explained to you and then been able to follow the simple instructions correctly.
So, yes, if you don't just get it immediately then you have to be willing to keep banging away and try again till you do finally get it.
As I mentioned earlier, it's that need to always keep your brain going that finally killed off my interest in programming. I just couldn't summon up sufficient brain power to keep going all the time.
Whereas some people enjoy the challenges and rise to them I tended to run out of patience with myself and the projects I did.
I decided that video film making and in particular making music videos was more satisfying and more doable than computer programming. It was more straightforward and didn't involve lots of fiddly battling with the machine all the time. Operating video cameras and then a video edit suite was, for me, smoother than making programs work on computers. So that's what I did.
Yes, goodo. Right, so I should be able to put up pics here now, great. Nice.
Cheers FOX. And thanks Lokolo.0 -

So none of those work for me on this computer. Well, the two links do the link, ok, but they don't put the pic in my post which is what I want to do. And the one that should do it says that the pic is too big. Ok, well balls to you too then. Blinking machines. Gawd. Boring.
I'm practising the pic technique before I forget it and so I'm also trying to do that dog pic the way you said and not first of all go via photobucket and this is what it does, either a link to it but not the pic itself posted here, or the message that it's too big.
Oh, and now it's adding smileys inside the edit window for no reason and without me asking it to. But they don't print. A bit odd, what's the point of that. But, actually, I don't need to know so I'll just ignore distractions like that unless they end up getting in the way.
Computers are great when they're working but rather irritating when you fail to operate them correctly. That's when I lose interest, when I can't do it. When I keep failing at something I give up, I don't keep banging my head against the wall. I go and do something productive, I don't keep wasting any more time on something's that unproductive. So, of course, therefore I miss out and if I'd just a bit harder and tried one or two other things then I'd probably achieve it.
So when do you just keep trying something that keeps failing and when do you give up and do something else instead. How long is a piece of string.
One day it'll all be done by direct thought and they'll always do just exactly what you want. But in the meantime I've always got to go through a maze trying to get my hands to do the magic open sesame. Oh well. By trial and error. Hit and miss.
I'll probably try photobucket again in a minute, see if I can do that again. It worked yesterday and all it is is a couple of clicks so I should be capable of doing that again. Surely. Hopefully.
Except I'm irritated again now, I don't feel like doing any more of this tedious numpty crap at the moment. When it doesn't work it takes all the joy out of it. Doh.
Ok, clear my head and come back to it in a few minutes. And give it another go.
Maybe I'll go for a walk first, get some air and a bit of exercise, that's generally nice and a good idea.0
