It is surprising how people avoid talking about death, like if they can avoid it...0

I am the executor and beneficiary to my friends estate.
Very sadly Sue passed away on the 7th January 2014.
Sue was in receipt of a widows pension from Civil Service Pensions, from her late husband who died in 1987.
My question is, purely because I am undergoing the probate application, would Sue's estate receive any lump sump or any other payment from the Civil Service Pension administrators?
Thanks,
