  • I was using average consumption figures, not my own, m&s came out JUST slightly cheaper.

I suppose, as per, it all depends on usage. But overall EDF's is a better deal.

ok i will take your word for it for now as i have had enough of doing calculations for the evening. i may have a look at it later though
  • Well my question has been answered anyway, EDF's is a better deal if you have rhighish consumption, but if your consumption is below national average it seems m&s come out on top. The thing is is that EDF's is 2014 so i'd personally go with EDF.
  • I actually figured the prices out now based on average consumption (16000kwh gas 3300 kwh elec)

EDF dual fual would cost £1066.22
    M and S would cost £1159.28

So there is still a saving of nearly £100 to be made on average consumption
  • Well When I worked it out I used those figures but my thinking is the conversion rates for gas that we used will be different.

Either way, EDF's is still the better deal overall :)

conversion rates dont make any difference as we have already got the actual kwh figure. we have not needed to convert anything.

I did it w/ units first. Just as a test to see if it made a difference. Not 100% sure it's accurate.

But an interesting if albeit irrelevent test.
