Correct me if im wrong but those primary unit prices are.... well, take a look for yourself!
Couldn't find a topic regarding this so i do apologise if there is already a thread. And it's a fixed tariff till jan 2013. Secondary units are about right.
They are in partner ship with SSE, so this is obviously just a customer rampage and they'll withdraw the tariff after they have "so many" customers.
EDIT: i cant post links so i do apologise.
Google m and s energy and look at their fixed tariff unit prices.

Prices seem about correct to me. (at first glance, i havent sat and compared it yet)
What seems more interesting is the fact that each region has a different limit at which they charge the initial KwH usage. Ive heard of different companies charging different thresholds across different tariffs but I havent seen this before. (or maybe i just havent been looking hard enough)0 -
Ive compared it to every other fixed tariff from every provider and no tariff even comes close to the primary units for my region(North west).
Obviously not all the tariffs were Jan 2013, some were a bit more, some were less, but I'm wondering how they can afford it.0 -
I use alot of electric and hate standing charges.
But hey whatever :P0 -

so the more electric you use the better EDf's tariff becomes aswell. As the secondary price is approx 4p per unit cheaper0 -
Your correct but I do not like standing charges.
And primary units only equate to 900 a year0 -

on the m&s page for the north west area it says 250kwh per quarter at higher rate. 4 *250 =1000

Hehe, i was wondering where you got your figures actually, and when you mentioned 250 primary units per quarter it hit me, you were looking at the wrong table.
My confusion still stands though, on the CORRECT(:P) table the primary unit prices are just silly.
15.48 for primary units(900 per year) and 12.80 for secondary units. Secondary units are fine but those primary are... well insane.0
