Disgruntled HP Touchpad owner

Whilst everyone else is excitedly rushing out to purchase a Touchpad at hugely reduced cost I am one of the unlucky people who purchased the Touchpad at full price less than 24 hours before HP decided to axe it.

Whilst other suppliers are offering a full refund or partial rebate, Argos are telling me that they will not be offering the same terms to its customers. I am absolutely gutted not to mention out of pocket left holding what is effectively a white elephant. if all I wanted was a portable PC i would have bought a netbook or laptop at half the cost.

is anyone else out there angry at not getting a refund?

  • I expect there are more people like yourself, but it's not the fault of Argos that you bought it when you did.

helpful comment thanks! Who should be held accountable then? I researched touchpad right up until the day I bought it and the information alluded to services that are no longer available therefore it is no longer fit for the purpose it was bought for!

No one, I'm afraid. Just one of those unfortunate things.

As an aside, Hewlett Packard are gits. Never buy anything from then again.

I bought it before the price drop was announced the day before. Again thank you for useful comment.

What would you deem useful? Unfortunately it's one of those things and no one's accountable. I can understand that's not what you want to hear, but we can't offer you anything else.

I'm not happy with that other retailers are offering refunds which suggests they believe there is a need to compensate customers.
