Thank you all. I'm sitting here in tears because it seems so unfair that such an innocent was taken over something so innocuous.

Chemo is done. Was in the hospital 7 and a half hours. A friend came with me for the first couple and had to nip home to take her husband to the dentist. She came back about 4ish and had cooked a homemade takeaway dinner I could just heat up when I got home. Beautiful pie and garlic bread and salad...so everyone is full and happy.

My hickman line failed so I had to be cannulated. That worked tho and chemo's pumped in. They've also given me a anti-nausea pump in my stomach. District nurses coming out to check me in the morning.

Usually when I come home I start to feel sick about 7 - don't ant to pre-empt anything but it's after 10 and I'm fine.

So off to bed as I've cleaners and nurses and land agents and god knows who else popping in tomorrow. SB's not at college though and can help.

Sleep well all...your support is amazing.

my friend is a community nurse and is brilliant, i think most of them are - i would rather be nursed out than in iykwim.

not good about the hickman, but at least the first bit is done!

Sorry to hear about the wee man, if it's any consolation (and having met him only the once) he seemed to have the run of the place and be a very contented wee sod.

Hope you're doing ok...if you need anything doing please give a yell. I have the Family Mooomin visiting next week (may the gods give me strength) but apart from meeting Souk for lunch on Saturday am free at the weekend if you need someone to walk the mutt or pick up shopping (or to make tea and let you have a gab!)
