Toby went to sleep at 8:45am. He wasn't responding and was starting to fit. The vet did it there and then while I was on the phone.

We'll get his ashes home in a fortnight.

I don't think I've ever cried so much. I only hope he knows how truly loved and wanted he was.

Chemo tomorrow at 10...so week is starting so well.

District Nurses are on the ball I think so hopefully aftercare will be easier this time.

Enough of my moans.

How is everyone else doing.

I truly believe Toby would know how much he was loved... My cat that died very young only eight months old was told he was beautiful every day of his life and how much he was loved.. and believe me he knew it.. that cat thought he was gods gift to the world !!
I had another cat that was a stray who lived to be a ripe old age, but had been badly beaten when young... He had had a broken shoulder the vet told us... (not by us I hasten to add) He lived to be a ripe old age and had so many issues throughout his life, I dont honestly believe he had many happy days.
So yes Toby did know,... You need to look after yourself.. I hope you will be okay today.. and good luck x Wendy

You're devastated about your cat understandably, that is tragic for all of you. I rembered feeling like that when my cat died and I really feel for you its so painful and sad. I am always mystified why when we are going through hard times anyway that we get all other grief and stress piled on too!? It seems like never ending blows sometimes doesn't it.

I heard in a film recently when someone described it as being 'just a pet not a human' the pet owner said 'love is love'...I agree.
