    Hello all,

I think we're all in agreement, to be the sanest in the room indicates a very scary place!

Chev...def not paying down BTLs cos every pound I'd contribute, ex would get half!! If they were mine alone then I would. Good question tho.

Next targets are this and next years ISAs. May gather the money and hold til ISA season is in full swing. Best rates seem to appear Feb/March time.

Trip was good but very very tired and feeling sick now. So just swallowed a handful of drugs and working from home tomorrow. Confident that we know where this project is heading now which is exciting.

Have had huge cuddles from husky and kittens are cuddled which is lovely. SB took me to the airport and picked me up so big kudos to him. Def helped not having to drive....he's a good 'un.

    Snoozy time now :o

    Hello all,

Well yesterday was very much an "in bed" day. Felt much worse than Friday so no more up and down in same day unless I can get an afternoon flight back. :(

Went to see Gravity earlier today. Took Grandad with us as I know he likes Mr Clooney and this is meant to be the film of the year. I'm sure no-one will be surprised to hear just how much he hated it. In fact that counts as an understatement..."The most abysmal film I've ever seen"...and at 86 he's seen a few. I really like it and SB loved it. Seems the absence of John Wayne and hoard of Red Indians does still hold sway :o

Came home to Jago and a mouse. Managed to eventually capture him and remove his prize. SB was adamant mouse was still alive but although I held it and stroked it for 10 minutes no sign of life...I even used last week's first aid training to bring it to eye level and check for its diaphragm moving but no joy. So poor mouse is well wrapped up and laid carefully in the bin. Beautiful little creature and not a mark on him. :(

So off to take Husky on a scamper in a bit and then 3rd try and cooking fish and chips...hoping nausea will have calmed down enough tonight. Aw well, shows he DLA award for inability to cook was honest :o

Very :o and :( post which is unreflective of how I feel. Just challenges I suppose and sadness at the mouse more than anything.

  • Poor mouse, but hopefully he died of fright rather than physical pain if there wasn't a mark on him. Don't know if that helps any, it sounded better in my head!! Xx

PLMBL - My head's going the same way. I wrapped him up warm and put him in a tightly sealed bag so that if I was horribly remiss he'd hopefully never wake up and just keep sleeping...I know that makes me a complete woose but I so hate the idea of an animal suffering. But, Jago did what comes naturally to him so he's happily on his favortite blankie sulking about "wicked mum".

I rescued a very cute mouse from my cat once. I stroked it and tried to calm it down. It promptly squealed very loudly and sunk it's teeth into my thumb! Very painful!
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
  • KJ I hope you're feeling better soon xxx

I'm allergic to cats now, but when I was younger I adopted a cute little cat that kept stealing our dogs food and it turned out to be half wild. It would usually go and earn it's keep by killing all the mice and then leaving them all over my house for my mum to find :p:rotfl:She would also kill birds and the mess of the feathers was immense  so glad that I wasn't 'mum' at the time and had to clean it up :rotfl:. Luckily my only pet is a lazy and scared of everything that moves pup ...no chance he'd even know how to catch his own dinner! :p
