Well that's another week done. Managed 5 days in the office as my remote decided to go kaput but it's fixed now so can work from a home some days next week.
We've kept to the menu-plan which meant we could have a take away tonight and very nice it was too.
Grandad's 86 on Monday so we'll do a birthday tea on Sunday. No idea what to get him, he has absolutely everything so maybe some nice foodie treats.
Looking good Kissjenn
have a lovely weekend XXXXXNevertheless she persisted.0 -
Sorry rant post alert.
SB is doing my head in. He won't apply for jobs, do extra charity hours, do his agreed chores, speak to the college about a placement etc. I know he's autistic issues but I'm damned if I get involved and damned if I don't.
We went out for lunch and needed to do the shopping. He wants to go to Asda which is near where we were and it "won't be busy on a Saturday". I pointed out it probably would (he can't handle busy well) but no, we had to go there. Drove the mile or so and it was so busy that traffic was queueing the approach road to get into the car park and then they had guys on directing to spaces. He now doesn't want to be there so I said look just drive ahead, not into the car park and we can exit. Oh no no no no no. The man was waving to the left not straight ahead, I didn't know what I was talking about exc. I hand guestured the chap, he gave us the double thumbs up and then SB refused to drive out. All of Asda at a standstill. Cars started trying to overtake, chaos. So I f***ing told him to f***ing drive now.
I'm rude, nasty and no he won't be watch the Walking Dead with me. He's gone upstairs to shoot zombies. Wish someone would bl00dy shoot me.

Rant away hun, men are infuriating creatures at the best of times. You have a double dose of incurable infuriatingness there, sometimes you just have to stop making allowances and be the mum.
Can you stop his computer time unless he does the chores ? If hes gonna act like a six year old .... Treat him like one.
Been there , have a slightly ( according to her mum) autistic neice, damn clever, but oh so stubborn.
Have a glass of wine and breathe !
And why is everything posting twice today !! GrrrrIts just a bad day, Not a bad life .. :cool:0 -
Don't worry about ranting.
Our SB's are challenging enough at the best of times with out the added issues in your situation of the autism.
I wish there was something I could suggest to help but I cant think of anything.

Thank you both.
He's calmed down now. He gets twitchy when he's going to have one of his days. We were allowed to watch Walking Dead a wee while ago so he's happier.
Off to see Sunshine on Leith tomorrow morning, then lunch at Pizza Express with Tesco vouchers, home to Asda delivering shopping (:o) and then Grandad;s birthday tea.
Punishment doesn't work well with SB. His computer is his entire social life, shutting him off from that wouldn't be a warning it would be a meltdown of self-recrimination, I'm not worthy etc. Very different from a "normal" kid - we just ride the occasional storms. If he regresses at all by tomorrow morning then we just won't go to Edinburgh - destress the situation for him.:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Great review Beanie.
We've seen it on stage and really enjoyed it although first half was much more upbeat than second.
Really hope he has a good day tomorrow. Counsellor has sent me a contact number for a charity in Edinburgh so I'm phoning them on Monday. God I wish I could do something to make him better, how will he cope if I'm not around?:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. To offset my moaniness a little thought I'd share the latest kitty pics. They're on the Lothian Cat Rescue website (an absolute ahhhhhfest for any cat lovers who may happen by). My two are under the adorable kitten - lounging on my bed.

Greying always gives thanks for 3 things...for me it today would be
Animals - I love them, SB adores then and Grandad pretends to be indifferent whilst buying treats for them and running a daily goodies-bar. Our 3 are fit, healthy and well cared for. Places like Lothian Cat Rescue ensure those who are lost in anyway are picked up, loved back to health and found a forever place in the world. If only the world was full of such good people. :happyhear
SB - Some days he drives me to distraction but he's an inspiration and the love of my life. Knowing I have to be there for him gets me up in the mornings. :A
the NHS - I've been in pain most of the day but have drugs at my disposal to combat it. They're working now and for that I'm truly grateful. Didn't have to beg or make claims or keep suffering, how lucky does that make me:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Enjoy Sunshine on Leith and Grandad's birthday tomorrow:D
