Tesco misprice discussion area part 17

Hi!

Dunno if anyone can help me. I went to a local Tesco store and thought I was lucky with the coke cans so I bought 7 boxes. When I went to CS, they were totally unreasonable and just wouldn't R+R. They said i looked 'dodgey' with 7 boxes of coke.

I mean, so what if I bought 7 boxes, Valentines party is coming around man!!

What can I do??

Anyone help??

I cant criticise you for taking too many, as i got six(3 diet, 3 ordinary) with no problems yeterday....but thats what it looks like.

I knew the store and the staff, and have had multiples before without trouble.

The CS that walked with me to the shelf, actually said, "You should have got a dozen".

In other stores, I judge the CS before deciding on amounts

If they admitted it was an ovecharge, then really they should honour it...did you take everyone off the shelf.....this could be the reason, or the manner in which you informed them of your overcharge.

Did you speak to the store manager......that may be the next step.......failing that:

As RandRing looks to be nearing its end, it should do you no harm to get in touch with HO, explaining that they accepted it was an over charge, but declined to honour their policy as they thought you'd bought too much, not considering that you were buying for a childrens party.

A misprice is a misprice, HO should back you on this.

Failing that..if you dont want it, take it back.....as a matter of principal.

adadibhai you bought too many, if you going for multiples go for somthing reasonable 170 cans of coke especialy if they were all full fat or diet would rarely be bought normally. 3 diet and 3 full fat then yes becasue it looks like they are a party purchase.

it was worth a try but you now know not to push it.

Groceries £43.38
Including 2x plax & 2x colgate (10.32)
after bogof 32.30 (Plax & colgate -5.16)
Health & beauty & quit kit coupons £13.30 (all tesco's own)
Left to pay £19.00

Basically free toiletries & £8.14 off of my shopping bill!!
Yummy yummy yummy, who needs R&R!!

I visited 4 non-local stores yesterday.
Store 1; 4 x diet 4 x normal plus quit toiletries £12 - easy r&r

Store 2; 6 x normal and 3 x diet plus toiletries

Store 3; 3 x normal (emptied shelf) and toiletries

Store 4; sel £6.95 but no stock. Took venison and toiletries.

No worries 'cos I wont be back for 6 months!

But (and it might be a big "but").........that should only enable 1 RandR only in these stores....providing of course they have the sense to look for other signs as well.........I said it was a big "but"
