Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: While it’s easy to wander off-topic that often prevents newbies finding the information they want quickly and easily (please see this rule). Please keep this thread on topic. If you’d like to discuss non-MoneySaving related topics please continue your discussion in The MoneySavers Arms or Discussion Time. ben500 wrote:edit....This will have several results
1 A smug grin on my face
2 An employment opportunity for those unemployed mser's who are interested.
3 A direct cash cost to Tesco
4 An inderict cost in man/hours management of rejected goods
5 Lots of delays at Tesco checkout as the craze spreads :rotfl:
I have been thinking something similar myself. It's an interesting idea.
I did this a week or two back one evening when the last manned checkout (only 10:15pm) refused to serve me and push me through the self scan ones. I find those things so tedious and had a full trolley as did three or four other people. I got bored just watching them have to get help every few items when something screwed up. So I told the operator that I was leaving the trolley, why I was leaving it and walked out.0 -

Sorry! 1) I didn't realise it was too off-topic and 2) that the other thread existed until SPA and Leadhead highlighted it.0 -
Heavens.
I'll have to get a new hobby if R&R ends....
Mind you, I've been suffering from 'Somerfield Booze Coupon Mania' since Christmas.....

So basically we need to make a new list of misprices, not concentrating on the highest priced goods, but the biggest difference in price therefore we are more likely to make a profit?? Easy enough, its just going to take a little extra Math etc0

Teehee..and the race will be on to find the stores who have missed a 'And if things don't add up' sign! Seen quite a lot of those smaller white signs by the cigarette kiosks etcIt aint over til I've done singing....0

These both sound very good new games - should keep me out of trouble for a while!
I've just started to get to grips with the Boots offers and vouchers, and am starting to read the Tesco vouchers and points threads, but haven't tried anything yet. The Dude has mentioned the Sommerfield booze coupon challenge (what's all that about?), and I understand that Asda has their own system for misprices. So much to do, so little time!
Perhaps we should view all these different pastimes as the different disciplines of a pentathlon/heptathlon - who's going to be our new Daly Thompson?0 -
I've just had a look in my drawer at work and I've still got over £300 worth of the old booze vouchers. Maybe I should slip a couple through the old self scan for old times sake.0

I'm trying to persuade my local Co-op that they should match the Tesco R and R policy, but they won't. Is there any leverage I can apply? The Co-op are more than happy to refund the difference between SEL and the till price, but I want a Tesco type deal ..... ;-)
Any suggestions?0
