Does the Tesco employee know if the Bosch/Black & Decker tools will stay as part of the core range, or whether its just the cheap bits?0

*raises hand half way* I only really started shopping at Tesco recently when the QK vouchers began, it's not on my route home so wouldn't shop there normally. The R'n'R option is nice, without that and the voucher deals i'd not bother.:rotfl:0 -
I will definately shop there less, but I won't go into a strop about it:p0

ER?
Let's get this right: It is Tesco that is regularly (even frequently) overcharing people - that's unlawful. If you want to use your rather emotive language, it is it that is "ripping off" (your words, not mine), not I.
I take advantage of its policy - nothing more. If its policy is reduced or removed, I shall consider the attraction of the store to be considerably reduced. It's not as cheap as it likes you to think, you know.0 -
The Diet Coke mentioned on the Misprices thread, there are 24 can packs of Diet Coke that have £7.25 written on them, this scans at £7.25, there are other packs that have £6.95 and these are the one on the SEL for £6.95.
I didnt fancy a knock back so I left them, there was the usual lady on the CS desk who knows me too well from months past, and she would argue that the pack price is the real price and the barcode is wrong so the sel is not for this one ..........yarda... yarda....yarda....
There are also some real cokes out there, if any one wants to go for them.Amazon Sellers Club Member Number 52

I shop in places where I can get the best deal for my moneyif that means I get it from the 98p shop, so be it.... if I can get it with a voucher Tescos give out for less than that then I'd be a right muppet not to take up the deal :P
Might as well just throw money down the drain otherwise.
Full price, Tesco's does not offer value for money (least not with stuff I've seen!), so without their vouchers i'd not shop there.... the R'n'R is a nice extra touch which I've been lucky to use a couple of times.
So, in effect, Tesco's selling their products at higher prices than other shops is ripping off the consumer.:rotfl:0 -
Got told today by CS that 'double the difference' on overpriced goods would be taking effect next week in my local Tesco.0

I am very unlucky in that, I only have Tesco locally, (well there is 1 Morrisons store but I'd rather starve than go there!),well 4 Tesco's to be factually correct!
So I won't have any choice but to continue to shop at Tesco really...
Please give me an ASDA, please please please...pinkpinkfizz

The reason that you only have Tesco locally is that Tesco has killed grocery shopping in the high street. Not content with having achieved this, it is now re-invading high streets and corner shops with its Metro stores.
There are always choices other than Tesco. For instance, market days for fruit and veg (generally MUCH cheaper) and butcher shops (generally better quality and not much more expensive).
What has effectively happened is that we have paid Tesco to screw up our towns and villages and now it's moving back in.0
