  • Little John I dont think anyone has accused anyone of stealing. Not me at least and I cant remember the word being mentioned, but as you say therer have been a lot of posts. Deception was mentioned and anyone carrying out the search that I mentioned would see that "Criminal Deception" was unlikely to be applied to R&Rers. If the latter point you mention actually occurs then that would clearly take it into the realm of criminal activity.

Thank you for your post and it is so reassuring that you refer to the xbox 360 in the singular.

They have no obligation than to correct the mis-price and refund any overcharge.

Rubbish, they have a policy which contradicts that, you can't advertise an incentive to trust, then renege on it.
    Couponing....."every little hurts"

But all the people can't be all right all the time. .........I think Abraham Lincoln said that.

  • Note to posters 'getting involved' in arguing with cheapskate...not worth it. Just check out his/her posting history. He/she specialises in starting arguments with his/her antagonistic views in a certain thread then tends to move onto to another thread after a few days. Funnily enough, starts very few threads him/herself (last time I checked only 2 in his/her entire time on here). A saddo, basically, and responding to him/her only feeds his/her ego. Ignore is my advice (as I will be when I get the inevitably aggressive response to this post).

    Ha! I'm a "saddo"

I don't need you to feed my ego - it's very well fed indeed:D

If you've got a point to make then make it. Otherwise lay off the cheap jibes - it only undermines anything sensible you may have to say:p

Coblers. It might be in your mind. I, however, am very clear in what I mean. If a company as successful as this cannot correct the most basic premise of its trading (ie Price Integrity), that is a serious indictment of its business practice.

But that's not what is at issue here is it?

If every company got everything right 100% of the time then we'd live in a perfect world. They don't and thus we don't. However, Tesco make a genuine attempt to improve redress for their mistakes over and above their actual legal responsibility. That is a good business practice.

Then that gets abused to the extent that they withdraw it.

    Who is the loser now?
  • err Tesco? because none of the Serial R&Rers will enter their doors again. Think of the custom they will lose.

Was that sarcasm or irony? am sure someone will point out the difference.

If you want to trade insults rather than argument then I'm up for that:cool:

    However, that's just too childish:p :p:p

    Well done;)
  • I know that there were a few people that multiple xboxes on the same days, with the game of the week mistakes at that time I wanted a PSP for my sister's birthday present she kept borrowing mine and the battery was always flat when I came to play on it. So I had decided to get her one. So I actually went and bought one before all the fuss kicked up it wasnt a known r+r at the time and I didnt get the discount for buying the GOTW and the console the store refused. I had to contact head office and they sent me a cheque to cover what I should have received back. It really messed my finances up for about a week, tesco put the request for the money on my debit card so it wasn't available to spend so Iwas ~£200 down and I was skint so I couldnt actually go buy another when it all settle down I bought her a psp a few days late and the money I got from tesco I gave to a local scout group who were fundraising. I heard they bought 1 new tent and it took them on their way to another with the money.

I have a few multiples, I kept 1 and gave the other to friend or my mum who passed it on to the local church, they really liked the £20/£18 champers and chocolate gift boxes before christmas.

I find r+ring a good way of relaxing after work or when everyone goes out I just dissapear away from the TV/computer/PSP as I work from home so I feel I always at work traveling to tesco to find freebies is a cheap form of entertainment :rotfl:

Well they have done just that simply due to serial abuse of the policy:p
