Martin's quote from The Telegraph article:

"R&Ring is taking advantage of a Tesco policy and not a loophole in the law," he said. "Tesco is not forced to have that policy — it does this as a way to promote itself.

"If people are doing absolutely nothing illegal but doing a little research to take advantage of the policy then I haven't got a problem with it.

"If thousands of pounds worth of Xboxes walked out the door then it should teach Tesco to be a bit more careful about prices so that customers are not misled."

The man is a legend, don't you think?

Even with the inclusion of that the report still rings more like soft press release than a piece of serious investigative journalism I would say.

Better hurry out and grab that free copy of Gordan Ramsey's cookbook there's only a few days of r&r left! After that its double the diff, it's only been mispriced for two weeks so you should have at least another week or so to bag it before they finally sort the price out.

I believe it's supposed to be £8.79 but who knows? Sure as Hell Tesco don't!:rotfl: There are at least FOUR different prices being displayed for this book.

Makes you laugh. The Bellygarph's article states that Tesco monitors the forum and puts things right. What a joke! That must be why we've all got Gordon Ramsey books then.

Let's face it, they don't need to monitor the forum, they just need to take notice of the so-called "reports" that are made everytime an R&R is sucessfully attempted.

Yes, the report in the paper today is little more than a bit of soft journalism. Suggest we all bombard the paper with letters complaining about Tesco's utter comtempt for the law and its customers.

Seeing that it is finishing very soon I will post this.
I would go down to the Home plus store in Staines (Two rivers retail park).

They have no idea of pricing, never seen a tesco this bad

There are many dvds there mispriced. I got some Monday and went back today and they had not even rectified this problem, Alough each time they wrote the error in their log book,
Double difference stickers at the till, although blue board behind CS desk states keep product.

Wednesday they had rake loads of 3 for price of 2 dvds on 3 fixtures.... 3 full days after the promotion had ended!! This is now been removed ...

I will not be able to go back there before it end........ someone else may do

Sounds like a fieldday - perhaps even a fieldtrip! Shame, this particular field would be around 300 mile round trip for me.
  • Don't quote me on this but a figure of £8 million last year springs to mind on the amount Tesco's paid out on R&R's

Think they have yearly profit of £2 billion, which, i think £8 million is just a drop in the ocean - 4%.
Its nothing to them, I have never done an R&R myself as only just found out now but i consider R&R a kind of loyalty scheme, a lot of people would go to Tesco specifically to look for misprices, as well as shop.
