Oh you are bad, my rings are about to fall off, my fingers are worn out LOLFeels good to be a CPW employee right now, I know so many things that you guys would just LOVE to know
Is anyone giving the cleverboxes one a punt?Love your Mum, you'll never get another one when she's gone.0 -
If it's anything like the previous palm pre's I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole. The majority of people I know who had them, wanted rid, a few days after receiving there phone, had nothing but problems with it.
It's a nice phone, I played around with it a while back. The hardware is good and I didn't notice any immediate problems.
It's a lot better than any sub £200 phone, and it'll most likely cost less than £700 -

I've never owned one myself I'm loyal to Sony Ericsson, but I know how much my friends moaned about there palm pre's, so many people got rid and paid for another phone after only being in a contract 1/2 months. Obviously these bugs may have been fixed third time round. £70 isn't bad for any phone really so it's probably worth the gamble

It was referring to this link Alexdrans, I have one in my basket, but afraid to push the button : )Love your Mum, you'll never get another one when she's gone.0 -
And as for people saying that it's bad because it won't receive updates - When was the last time that your < £100 SE, Samsung etc phone received an update? Never mind dumb phones, many cheap Android handsets never see an update in their life and people still happily use them.0

Looks like it's over (for now at least). CPW site is listing prices for Pre 3 with contract (Vodafone, Orange & T-Mobile from £30 p/m 24 months). Also £479.95 sim free but oos. Payg shown in search result but no payg deals offered. The search also shows Touchpads being offered 'sim free' and 'on various networks' but also oos. (Somebody at CPW was clearly so excited at sealing the deal they didn't realise the Touchpad has no 3G so it will be 'sim free'!)
But will this work for them? Surely £30 p/m 24 months is far too expensive for a phone that nobody even cared about last week and which we've all been led to expect we could buy for under a hundred. Still, HP must be delighted.0 -
