if you go to the top of the thread there is a "search this thread" option - type in "advent" or "fire" or whatever and it'll show you the posts in the thread.

Yes, but my point is, if a deal has been posted and its a good one, and you missed the post then how do you know what to search for ? Thats why people sometimes re-post them. Cause they know others will have missed them cause they themselves obviously have missed ones in the past and would have liked it / not missed out if someone had re-posted it.
    Anyway......

Thank you to those who do re-post or comment on deals again. It does really help and it is appreciated.

I normally search using the url, which is what most people do, doesn't always come up though as the url can sometimes be slightly different. The last poster who posted the said offer didn't actually post a url and wasn't very descriptive, may be the reason why I missed it in the first place.

I am almost afraid to post this as I have not searched the thread to see if it has already been posted but I really do not have the time!
For anyone who this could help, I was in WHSmith today, they had buy one get one half price on lego but if you print the vouchers from the voucher board there is a £5 off a £12 spend on childrens books and toys, this can be used to reduce they total by a further £5. The are also giving out vouchers for an extra 10% off toys which starts Monday which in the past has worked for me with the £5 voucher but not sure if they have stopped that yet. I am also unsure as to when the lego deal runs out. I am aware that WHSmith are not the cheapest with lego but when getting it at buy one get one half price with a further £5 off it could be a good saving especially if you print a few vouchers and do several transactions?
    HTH someone.
  • @twinklyeys - the only problem with WHSmiths is that their lego even after buy one get one half price is still more expensive than other places.

Edit to add : but just discovered its only £54 on Amazon. Can I cancel an Argos reservation?

I would contact them first on 01785 710 253. Or try 01785 250 000 (Opt 1 & ext. 8088 for refunds or hold for switchboard) if you can't get through using the other number.

I was told last year after ordering something from another company to refuse the order when it arrived and ask to have it returned, I told the guy delivering this that I no longer required it. This may not be the same with Argos and why I think it might be a good idea to phone first as their policy for returns may be different.

Oooh might have to get the star wars one :D

Got my advent calendar today but was a bit disappointed as all the box is dented and bits ripped, ordinarily I wouldn't be too bothered but its part of the fun so debating whether to ring them up about it:think:

Everything will be ok in the end, and if it isn't ok then it isn't the end :)

WHSMITH has never been cheap for the lego, either wait for TRU that have BOGOF or 20% etc as does Argos or wait for the amazon 1/2 price in the middle of the night, I waited and got masses, so much that I had to put away for birthdays and this xmas:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
