Carry on ignoring, nothing has changed. Sending the letter a day before their "deadline" is a well known part of the scam, designed to panic you into paying.0

Just wondering if I am still to ignore these idiots as the price has now gone up and has anyone any idea what I'm to expect next? Also, it's nice how they demand payment in 7 days when I got the letter 6 days after it was sent. Imbeciles.
Blah,blah..may this may that ..all meaningless dribble.
Love the bit about "the courts do not look favourably on motorists or consumers who try to withold information......" blah blah ...
Odd how they forgot to mention that courts do not look favourably on Private Parking Companies who claim against keepers when there is no evidence they were driving...

One thing is sure these letter never tell you the whole truth and they often contain lies of omission or other untruths.

Earlier on today I receieved a parking notice in Morrisons car park for overstaying the 2 hour limit by 10 minutes.
In the morning I had used the coffee bar in Morrisons for half an hour before leaving the store and returning home. Realised there was some shopping I needed so headed back down, an hour and a half later, and stayed shopping for an hour. Came back to the car to find a notice claiming that I had overstayed by being in the car park ALL morning. They obviously failed to realise I had left the area and returned, and obviously parked in a different place, hours later.
Is there anything I can do to avoid paying the £50 fine?
If you really are a long time reader of this forum, then why are you asking this? Don't the scores and scores of near-identical cases already indicate how to avoid paying what isn't actually a fine in any case?0 -
To the comment above, I meant long time reader of the forum, not the parking fines section.
Received another letter today, posted it below.

Yes see their website for CCJ's..who are they kidding...
It says this (bold is mine) :
"Contrary to what you may have read on various web forums Debt Recovery Plus Ltd DOES apply for county court judgements's (CCJ's) against individuals and companies who resist payment of parking charge notices.
(No you don't as you don't own the "debt" you a DCA can do no such thing)
Please don't believe everything you read on the forums. (or this DRPL web!!!!!).
See the list below for some of the CCJ's we have successfully applied for in recent months.
(None of which relate to defended cases re parking charges)
IGNORE them .0 -

So you'll know that when you hop over to a new forum sub-board you will find tons of info on the sticky threads at the top:
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=163
The letters are there, the info is all there, the Watchdog clip is there. Always take a step back on an unfamiliar forum board and look at the sticky threads on the new current threads sub-forum view. Happy reading.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
