No cancellation but no money has left my account. Ordered about 12.30am. Sigh.
  • I picked up my touchpad today from john lewis must say I was really impressed with their service. It is taking a little bit of getting used to mind but I'm happy with it.
I hope you all manage to find one xxx

Regarding the 32Gb Touchpads from Argos' website Saturday Night/Sunday Evening. I went through the order process about 2:30am. It said in stock to begin with, then at the end the order process said it couldn't say either way if it was going to be in stock, I think most people got that message.

I checked with @ArgosHelpers on twitter. They gave me the following message-

"Hi, I’m sorry but on this occasion the order did not go through. I apologise for any inconvenience this has caused."

LOTS of people are asking. So much so that they're struggling to respond to people. I haven't yet seen anyone get a positive response, so I'm guessing it was definitely a glitch last night.

    Oh well!

If you ask on twitter before 6pm you can get confirmation either way at least.

Argos recently was almost certainly a site glitch letting orders through with no stock. (Unfortunately).

I agree it's unlikely anyone got an order thrpough, but why don't Argos Helpers just tweet that NO Touchpad orders went through rather than checking individual orders? This makes me think they may have had some, no?

Suspect it would highlight that their website has a fault, and not something they want to broadcast.

HDUK confirming 11th September stock expected at Argod website. Good news - if Argos are getting, perhaps others are too?
