Just called Argos to explain I ordered the touchpad last night and not received an email and wanted confirmation of the order...
Just called them up, they were friendly enough, but said there was a mistake with the website and none were available!
Thing that has really rattled my cage, is that they couldn't even see an order for me, or if my card payment details had been processed! So my question is what exactly happened to my card details I entered last night and when it took me through to the Mastercard Secure website to enter those extra security details - where did they all go?!
I would be far happier and have piece of mind, if they atleast acknowledged an order was taken for me, but now cancelled, they can't even do this!
That has lost all faith in me, ordering something through the Argos website!0 -
From orders last night, have people had cancellation emails from Argos or Paypal? No order number to check online?

No emails, I just checked my paypal account today and it said the order was cancelled by Argos.0

Just checked paypal and my Argos order from last night has status "cancelled", although I've had no emails from Argos at all, and the only one from PayPal was at the time I made the order itself. Ahh well.0

No E mail. Ordered last night. Gutted. Nearly on the same par as Amazon. These companies have no principles but I will remember this when Christmas comes no Amazon no Argos. I donnt like being taken for a ride.0

I think this was just a glitch though. I reserved one in store from Argos earlier in the week and couldn't pick it up on the day I was supposed to, but they were happy to hold it a further day for me when contacted. Which they certainly had no obligation to do. So overall I'm pretty pleased about my recent Argos experiences.No E mail. Ordered last night. Gutted. Nearly on the same par as Amazon.
