Has anyone that placed an order with Staples heard anything yet? I still have not had either a confirmation or cancellation email.

I'm exactly the same, no email or call either way and still pending payment

Exactly, we bought it to run Kindle like I do on my iPad, but the Kindle app is currently US only.

If you can get an app called DummyMaker (on PreWare) you can get free apps from other regions.
I don't know if it's available for the TochPad but I have it on the Pre 2.
  • Hiya everyone

Will someone be able to help please.....ordered 2 x 32gb HP touchpads from Direct IT (XMA) throught Amazon this morning about 8.30am for £299 each before I placed the order I did email them saying if these are not at the discount price I don't want them. About 3.00pm this afternoon I get an Email saying they have been dispatched, checked my back and £598 is on hold by them. I know now I prob should have not ordered till I got a reply but in hope for my girls I took a chance. I just looked at their refunds policy and it say they will take 20% or £60 which ever greater for items you change your mind on?? any advise will be appreciated :)

Distance Selling Regulations indicate that you can return them within 7 days of receipt and get a refund (minus the postage cost which you pay).

Unfortunately I don't know where you stand as the seller isn't AMAZON itself its a marketplace seller and this means that their terms work rather than AMAZONS. I would be inclined to see if you can cancel the order via Amazon at all? I doubt they've despatched if they haven't actualy taken payment.
