Sainsbury's Glitch

Hi everyone
I've been looking for a new laptop for a while and was about to order one from Tesco's because using the current voucher code you can get a Compaq for £229 but I've just been into our local Sainsbury's in Wakefield and managed to pick a Compaq CQ56-102 SA up for the grand sum of £169.99, The shelf edge label shows that it should have been £329 with £80 off which reduces it down to £249.99. However when I got to the till it went through at £249.99 with a further discount of £80.00 making it £169.99 which IMO is an absolute bargain. It wasn't in the main entertainment section of the store but on a side aisle with all the back to school and seasonal offers and a couple of other laptops which were Samsung I think. I did query the price but the assistant said it was correct. Hope this helps someone.

HP Compaq CQ56-102SA with Windows 7 Home Premium, Single Core Processor, 2GB of Memory and 250GB Storage on Windows 7 Home Premium. 7.5 hours of battery
I would say it has the same specs as your average netbook except it is the size of a laptop. A netbook for the same specs would be roughly the same price online. I think it is ok for the price but I wouldn't rush out to see if my store had any.
It will do the job if your just word processing though. Depends what you would use it for?Comping wishlist for 2017

Sorry, I'm not up on the specs because I'm not technically minded. I just wanted something that was more substantial and not as flimsy as the netbook I've been using for the last year. Its a Samsung N150 and I don't rate it at all. The Compaq however does have a CD/DVD rewriter drive which for me is a bonus feature.loobylou2.Proud to be dealing with my debts and aiming to sort out the mess in 2013!!!!:eek:0

Looks like the ram is upgradeable up to 8gb, so if your techy might not be too shabby for the price.Comping wishlist for 2017
