Plan is to get on with this after breakfast:
    job applications with DS1
dry washing and 3 more loads (I think)
more e-bay stuff to NN's son (they're away until tomorrow)
re-advertise stuff in free ads mag
    research home insurance
    set up diary/calendar
    parking fine
    de-flea cat
forms for OH (DVLA and permitted work)
nag remind DS1 to look for card wallets for Disney cards
school to-do list started thinking about it
data work - WIP, almost done
    [STRIKE]update spending record[/STRIKE]
    put shopping away
clean kitchen so I can cook
phone friend to ask if he'll check our car over

Definitely no rain forecast, so I'll do something to my hair (went to bed with it damp and look like Medusa), stick some clothes on (too cold in my nightie) and get the washing out. Once the WM is on again I'll be back with a cuppa. Will have to be smaller than babysteps today to get myself motivated.

ETA I'd like to phone the met office and ask them to to look outside my window. That's definitely rain!
  • im going for a quick blitz of the bathroom and then going to strip my bed and let it air.

WendyW I blame my mum, she really sorts her colours out depending on how much of each item she has. there has been known to be a reds/orange wash, a white wash, a green wash, a grey wash, a black wash and a lights wash that doesnt fit in with any other wash  lets just say mummy dearest is a bit OCD when it comes to washing and ironing :rotfl:

It does make the clothes last longer though seperating them out but im loathe to do it for just 1 item which is why i specifically bought my washer with the really quick wash function :D

I am a nightmare with laundry.. which is why it cannot be delegated!

I have a white wash, an almot white wash (creams, tea towels and such) a pink wash, a red wash, a green wash, a blue wash, a black wash, baby washing is done separately too and.. I have a mixed colour wash which has those tops in that have a coloured body and white/grey/blue sleeves.. the one that are meant to look layered..

I cant stand anyone else folding it either.. they NEVER do it right.. in fact the only person who can fold it right is my mother who is just as anal as me when it comes to laundry

Glad I'm not the only one:D;)

Just finishing off the packing and baking. Heading off much later than we had planned as the cricket is going on later than we first thought, never mind.

If I don't pop back have a good week all, last week of summer holidays for lots of us so try to enjoy and if not grin and bear it for the countdown has begun.

  • Good afternoon :D

i have had a slow start today :o I have put one load in WM. i have spent most of the morning meal planning (after catching up on 2 Corrie episodes). I don't normally do this, but we need to stop wasting money & throwing away food, and also try to eat a bit healthier. I am back to work on Tuesday (I have a really busy week - much busier than I have been lately) so I will go food shopping tomorrow. I plan to make a list and stick to it (as much as i can anyway :o) Roast beef today :j
Ok. i am off to hang out washing, and then maybe go with DH to buy some slabs for a path in the garden (before the grass gets too muddy) & put some petrol in the car (Waitrose is about the cheapest round here). Off I go!
  • shower cleaned, sink cleaned and loo cleaned.
    bedding stripped.

just waiting on washer finishing then i will get the bedding in. i hope the stuff on the line is dry otherwise i will need to put the blacks on the airer and i would really like my kitchen to stop looking like a chinese laundry :p

I can only think of one pub here that is not wheelchair friendly.. your business is as necessary as everyone elses.. and lets face it.. you can drink far more and no fall over.. fewer forms :p ..

Could you write to/email them and tell them why you are unable to attend and suggest venues where you could gain access? I am sure you know all the good places that are wheelchair friendly.
Did that already - I even emailed a whole raft of pubs and asked about wheelchair access, put the results on an Excel spreadsheet, and emailed it to the Secretary. To no avail.:( What's got me so hopping mad (or would if I was capable of hopping:D) is that they booked an upstairs room in a pub for the August meeting, which was earlier this week. So they know darned well there's no way I can attend that! Arrgh, to Hel with them!

I am so glad to see someone else does a red wash! :j As I have girls we tend to get alot of pinks, reds and purples which I do together but it's taken me years to get my mum to see it my way  I use to stick them in the dark wash but after a red t-shirt turned a pair of grey/ black fade look jeans purple I decided to stop :(
Wendywitch, it's your washing, you do it whatever way suits you!;):D My mother could never get her head around the fact that I don't have a regular weekly shopping day - I keep an ongoing list, and when there's either something we need straight away, or enough to make the trip worthwhile, we shop. Nowadays of course, it has to be fitted around Mr LW's work, but it's how I've always done it.:o

Sorry I didn't get online yesterday folks - I was fairly exhausted after seeing the GP; she's given me a supply of my 6 regular meds, plus 2 lots of cream for my poor, dilapidated feet, so hopefully they'll be a bit better soon. I'm cross though - I emailed a request for a repeat of Mr LW's meds to collect at the same time - emailed the Sunday before, so in plenty of time (6 days), and they didn't have it ready! Lucky that he still has a couple of week's supply, because he has no early shifts this week, so can't get back there again to pick it up til next Saturday. Totally inefficient of them! But this is why I always order our meds well to time - we've had this sort of problem before; even had the wrong meds prescribed, or the forms not signed, all sorts of inaccuracies.

Anyways, Mr LW was on a roll for getting tasks done (this isn't a terribly common occurrence, he usually likes lots of tea breaks:D) so I thought we'd go with the flow; we also had Ted's bath to do (his last one this visit).

I've done yet another WM load of Mr LW's clothes today - hopefully they'll be all dry soon, so he can iron them in a bit.;)
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Sound like it's been a busy morning :)

The nasty week due to my medication has turned up on schedule :( so I went out to pick up iron tablets and any supplements that might help. I managed to pick up some other stuff in the health food shop and braved a couple of other places on the way back so the present drawer will be restocked (I need to sort out some overdue birthday presents in case I see the relevant people any time soon). However, I didn't manage to do the food shopping, so will do that online and walk to the village shop tomorrow for a few bits.

It's my nephew's first birthday next weekend. Any suggestions for a present? I'm supposed to be making the cake (although I'm not sure where I'll find the energy) but I know they'll expect a present too...

LW.. Do you have other contacts from the group you could email a complaint to? The chair or anyone higher up? mention the word discrimination that usually gets them reading!

Well i think i'm 3/4 of the way through clearing the bedroom. At least a basket of washing to be done. Boys bedding has been changed, our's will be done when i find the bed....:rotfl:

It will be great tonight to get into bed without nearly breaking my neck..:D I'm feeling very motavated today so i might even get the bathroom done after i get everyone scrubbed..

Right cuppa and back to it...

LW are doctors are useless too. I can't order any meds until 2 days before they run out and then i have to wait 2 days to get them. Half the time there is stuff missing and each has to be ordered at different times as they won't let me order full meds at once. Same with the chemist, half the time they don't have the meds in and we have to wait a few days to get them eventho there really important and we've none left at home...:mad:
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

I'm washed and dressed and have made a cuppa, as it just started raining again. I may decide to abandon the laundry for today, although we actually have blue sky at the moment.

I'll do my next costco shopping list (new offers from tomorrow) to see how it develops...
