Well tomorrow we're off on our holiday so today is a mission to get the house tip top and organised so I have a nice clean slate to start from when we get home. Trying to use up all our perishables today I think our only struggle will be satsumas and potatoes but the neighbours can have the spuds and we'll just take the satsumas with us.

My Mum is coming over at lunchtime so that'll be nice, hopefully she'll watch the kids while I quickly nip to the PO to post a couple of letters for DH save dragging them out, plus they can stay in PJ's to save dirtying more clothes!

Right time to declutter another cuppa, by that time the WM should be finished so I can load in some bedding that I'm about to strip off.

    Happy FLYing all x

Stupid internet dongle wouldn't let me on here yesterday, any other website but not this. It was being a pain this morning too but I cheated and went in a different way. I emptied another 2 bags yesterday into one of those plastic drawer units and now all our extra toiletries and the meds are in one place. I have 2 cases I want to look through that haven't been properly sorted for years. This weekend I want to clear the boxes in the dining room, if only on a temporary basis so we can work out what size piano will fit in there. Hopefully that will then give me an idea of what furniture will fit and then I can unpack into it, I do like the uncluttered-ness of it though so we shall see. I hope that by the end of next week our dining room is no longer that and has been made into the music room we wanted it for.

Just going to see if the laptop will let me change screens to get a list. Got a meeting with site manager in 40 minutes to go through our snagging list so don't have time to waste with internet explorer...I can't believe we have been here a week already.

Not too bad, I had done a lot of the lists or they didn't need doing. I have been wiping the bathroom daily so just going to do that again today. I have not spent too much time cleaning this week, more sorting out but I will fly properly as of next week before any dust thinks about contaminating my beautiful house too much. Most of my lists should be done over the weekend with DHs help.

Thursday ~ Barfroom, loo and study!
    Level Two
Scrub the bath, loo, shower, tiles and hand basins.. shine those taps!
    15 minute filing and shredding.

Friday ~ Childrens pits, Spare or neglected rooms
    Extras
    1. Spend half an hour on YOURSELF!!! not the cat or a child or anyone else.. just you!
MY LIST – Sometime this week
    Keep changing surname/address
Send thank you cards/change of address

    Put washing line up
    Sort finances
Make snagging list for meeting with site manager - Friday am

  • Good morning :D

I am up, dressed, had breakfast & fed the dog. At least that is something :o I need to get cracking in here today. the trouble is, DH is off aswell, and he seems to have ground to a halt! It then makes it really frustrating to clear up around him, while he plays on PC/Wii/watches TV. I feel really bad thinking like this, as he is normally really good at doing things around the house :o

Ok, I need to put some shoes on and then get the washing in (that I forgot to get in yesterday :() That will need to be rinsed through again, or at least spun, and put in the TD. It has been chucking it down!

A man is coming about the DW :j so hopefully that will be fixed soon

    Ok - onwards & upwards!

    Morning All,

Nothing done last night, except transfer of some funds (it was payday yesterday! :D), and a present bought for new baby, and all required Birthday cards have been acquired.

Here is what I bought for the baby (and got some batteries for it too): http://www.chicco.co.uk/OurProducts/SchedaProdotto/tabid/1078/art/00071760000000/Default.aspx It's sooo cute! I also checked with my Mum first, that they didn't already have one (or similar).

I did manage to get 2 new pairs of shoes and 2 tops, for the price I had budgeted for one pair of shoes though, thanks to the sales :)

I hope everyone is well. Big ((HUGS)) for everyone who needs them, and a choccy biccie too cos it's Friday! :D

    xx

Thanks! He really needs one of those book things for card collecting, as there will hopefully be 99 cards if we can source the missing 14. They are about playing card size, similar to Pokemon, football cards etc.

OK, I'll see what comes up when I'm sorting boxes over the weekend: the item I originally thought of may be a bit small so will check against a pack of playing cards since I have some of those!

If you see me on here over the weekend for more than 5 minutes, aim a fluffy mule at me, will you??:rotfl:

    Morning everyone

Visit DS1 school to buy compulsory pe kit. Wonder how long it will be before they are lost.
Boys to wear in their new school shoes
    Name some uniform.

This is essential for Senior School. Especially PE kit, it is better to wear it all so the theiving little darlings can't take it from the changing rooms. DS1 and 2 both haemorraged uniform and PE kit during year 7 fortunately they never lost mobile phones as I was too savvy to let them take them to school. I have repeatedly asked for the changing rooms to be locked during lessons to prevent this but my requests fall on deaf ears:(

    RANT ALERT
DS1 has nearly completed a weeks work. He was late yesterday and late again today. It's very worrying he won't go to bed at a sensible time and won't get up in the morning. It's hard enough getting myself and the 2 little ones out the door for 8.50 without having to drag him out of bed.

I'm going to buy several alarm clocks to place around his room.....
If DD1 can get up at 3am to work at the airport then why does he have so much trouble getting up at 8am:mad:

Bathrooms are sparkling, iroing mountain is getting worrying high. I have to collect DD2 from his cousins so that will eat up a large part of my day.

    Good morning all.

Feeling a bit more 'with it' today, had an energy boost from somewhere.

    This morning

    DW on
    WM on
    Slow cooker filled and on

Then went to work. Have half day today so hope to get a lot done this afternoon.

Weather is grotty here - typical bank holiday weather!

Sheets and sheets of labels printed for exercise books, whiteboard pens, rulers and whiteboard rubbers. I print them at home because we have a networked printer/copier and I don't trust the labels to go through without gumming up the whole thing and then making my name mud - also if anyone else is using it at the same time you can't guarantee print order (unless the teacher who knows how to deletes all the pending jobs;) now WHO'S THAT I.T. savvy :rotfl:
(They each have 'their own' whiteboard, wiper, pen for whiteboard and ruler. They keep them in their tray - hopefully they will (a) look after them and (b) not lose them - *sound of hollow laughter*) This stops the 'no it's NOT mine' and 'no I didn't leave the (whatever) on the carpet and not put it away'...

Going in to work to (I hope) get completely set up for the new year.

Just going to do some ironing first then beds.

    Anyone up for a HHC?
