Good afternoon
Where has the day gone!?
Got up a bit late, but managed to get out of the house by about 10.45, to take DD2 to the school. She was really chuffed with her results :j:j She is staying on at 6th form, doing the subjects she wantedHer BF (who went to a different school) didn't get good enough results to stay on, but had applied to DD2's school, but didn't know what to do. We came home, picked her up & took her to DD2s school and, after some discussion, she is in
I think she is relieved she has next year sorted.
DH & I took DD2 out for a celebratory lunch
I now need to get a shift on, 'cos this place looks like a tip!! WM on, DW on. I need to go & check the lists.
Cat - self-diagnosis can be dangerously & unneccessarily worryingAs the others have said, make sure you are totally honest with the GP.
Dusty - congrats to your DS's :j0 -
Afternoon ladies,
Busy day so far, and just had DS doing the grand try on of his wardrobe - small shopping list written of things we need (aka have grown out of!) but pleased that some needed items were sourced from our small collection of to grow into...:rotfl:
About to start a HHBake, then will tackle some of the outstanding things on the list. Its going down slowly, but have added impetus of a canine visitor for the day on Saturday, so we need to be very tidied up before he arrives!
MoamAlthough no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.
Snowball says too far away, working hard to bring it forward.0 -
Back from Dr. Yes it is liver related, but nothing to worry about after only 3 days. If it is still there in 4 weeks they'll start worrying.
And BREATHE.:j
Flying wise - kitchen almost finished. Will give it final S&S before I leave tomorrow. WM loaded to be emptied before I leave.
Packing in progress. I'm procrastinating.
DH on call tonight so dinner is fridge surprise of quick things I don't want to throw out in case he gets called in. Eggs and veg in some combo I think.
Thanks for all the good wishes.GC Mar 13 £47.36/£1500 -
Afternoon all, i've managed very little today. Been and seen my sister and then got the boys hair cut for going back to school (only a week to go). Still have a sore throat today....grrrrrrr
Really need to get things done tonight but can't be bothered..:o
Well done everyone on the GCSE results.
Cat big hugs where all here for you..
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0 -
Now REALLY not happy  Just typed a post about not being happy & it has disappeared!!
Anyway, where was I?
Dishwasher - not working  (this is now an abbreviated version) I have called the man that fixed it last time (2 years ago), so hopefully won't be out of action too long.
Flying wise, I have hung out the washing, put another load in, cleaned the bathroom & mopped the floor, carried the hoover upstairs & left it in the bedroom (in the hope that DH will do it - but no! He just laid on the bed & watched a programme about whales!!). I have also done half of the washing up (can't fit anymore on the tiny draining board, & CBA to dry up) I am now decluttering the remains of the Pringles (so i can throw away the box!)
i think I may reward myself with an episode of Corrie, as I am still trying to catch up0 -
GI... I am far from happy too... I need to ring someone and just offload down the phone.. usually Id ring my mother. I am having a hormone and fury fuelled blubber and am very much on the edge of a major meltdown!
