Evening ladies x I hope all of you are well. Reading many of your posts I am counting myself as very lucky to not be aflicted by the nasty BD. hugs to all of you fighting it x

So, I had big plans for today, but when I got home from work at half 10 I had the chance of free visit to legoland courtesy of my baby bro, who works there. I couldn't, and didn't want to, turn it down so I gathered up my 2 and a friends daughter and spent most of the day there. I don't know about the girls, but I had a great time :T. then I managed to bag a big box of lego from a very nice freecycler and spent another happy couple of hrs building racing cars and towers:D. despite all that, I have managed to do a bit of flying...
    1 load of washing done
    kitchen cupboard doors cleaned
    worktops wiped
oven cleaned and sparkly:D(it was disgusting, took me an hour!)
    bin scrubbed
    floor swept and mopped
    back door washed
    LR shelves all polished
    tv stand washed
    all clutter cleared
    sills all wiped
    all downstairs hoovered
kids bathed, storied and tucked up by 7.

I'm just about to put half of the 'new' lego in the washing machine on a quick wash, then spend the last of the time before bed sewing fleece blankets on to my bedroom curtains. jobs a gud un!

tomorrow I will definitely have to pickle my beetroot and stew my apples:o

Had a bit of a low day today :( think its cos I was on my own for most of it DD1 helped out at her work experience again and DD2 was out with her friends.
I nipped to my friends after dropping DD1 off to show them the college doctor's report and the letter from work about a meeting I have to have with them. My friend said she'll come with me :) I'm really quite worried about it on top of the court case and everything else. My doctor has signed me off for 6 weeks and says he'll keep signing me off til he thinks I'm ready to go back, the thought of going back at the moment feels me with dread :(

Keep a large plastic container hand and put over s....r. Slide piece of cardboard underneath (I use a collapsed cereal box), lift carefully and throw outside. Retrieve container and cardboard when danger has passed (or ask OH to do this). I have got better at it over the years!
no chance... I just stamped on the mutant monster I fund half way up the stairs and flushed it down the loo. I prefer this (or telephone directories) as disposal methods, but will resort to the hoover if they're in awkward places (it means emptying it immediately).

I need to persuade OH to move in asap without him thinking that I only want him for his spider evicting skills...
  • What an evening - was almost done and feeling pleased with myself as stayed at school much longer than expected but still managed to come back and do the living room. Then... scanning the stuff for DD's rental agreement took 3 hours (long story) but finished at last...

    Extras left from yesterday:
[STRIKE]sort out lease for DD [/STRIKE] - [STRIKE]couldn't do this or the next as network down at school and no computers - brought scanner home to see if that will work on my laptop as my scanner is being difficult![/STRIKE]
    scan dental receipts for refund
[STRIKE]ironing[/STRIKE] (did my listed ironing yesterday and felt smug as got finished in less time, then this morning noticed two jackets and two tops on the chair which I had forgotten about!)

Tuesday ~ Living room, Hall and Stairs
    Level One
    [STRIKE]Declutter the floors
Vacuum said decluttered floors! and washed too[/STRIKE]
    Level Two
[STRIKE]declutter and dust the mantle putting back only what should be there[/STRIKE]
    Wipe the sofas if needed
[STRIKE]Wipe and water plants, dust and deweb[/STRIKE]don't have any
    Level Three
Wash any soft furnishings that are in need - curtains need cleaning but will have to wait
[STRIKE]Clear and wipe window sills, and any electricals and picture frames etc[/STRIKE]
Empty and clear out a cupboard.. didn't do this but spent a long time cleaning the wrought iron on my spiral staircase - fiddly and takes ages hence I always put it off

    Extras for today
[STRIKE]gym[/STRIKE] (have to list this otherwise I will find every excuse not to go!)
[STRIKE]at least two hours in school preparing for next term
    empty DW
    put away ironing/washing[/STRIKE]
Proud to be dealing with my debts
  • Went to town this afternoon, after the virgin man fitted our new TV box (I turned the box off when we went on holiday, & it refused to go back on!). I have bought DS a new PE top, and football socks. Also bought pens, refill pads, a folder & notebook, and a new expanding file, so I can sort out some paperwork & get rid of the broken one :)

I had hoped DH was going to vac up downstairs, but he rediscovered his FIFA game on the Wii :( 6 hours later, he went football training!! I suppose he is on holiday :p

I have been to a very dear friend's house tonight, as it is the fourth anniversary of her son's death. He was killed in a friendly fire incident in Afghanistan, along with 2 other young men. It doesn't seem to get any easier. But she has a lot of people who love her very much, as she is one of those very special people.

OK. I am off to bed now. I need to get the bins out in the morning, and pack a picnic for our trip to Dover castle tomorrow.

Hugs, sticks and spoons to those that need them. night night all

Mrs Chaos you cannot leave ever LOL.

Thanks, vanilla. A bit like Hotel California, then... :D

shellysue - thanks for the link. I enjoyed it (and it made me think).
greenbee - can't bear to squish them and would definitely not put hand or foot near enough to do this.
lisakay - wow, how did you fit all of that into one day? Although it took me a while to realise that you didn't mean Legoland in Windsor - d'oh.

I've made a start on our bedroom and got rid of lots of gibble (left over from when the kids had this room before us) for e-bay, CS and bin. Lots more left, but we can open and close the main wardrobe properly now, so that can be tidied. I just wish OH wouldn't leave his shirts hanging from every possible place.

Time for a last cuppa and bed. x

I was knackered by the time I got home, and my back was aching, so I barely did anything last night. I made dinner, and I remembered to buy some essentials on the way home, but that's all.

And OH has come down with a stinking cold, really quickly. He was fine yesterday morning, but by the time I got back last night he was completely blocked up and sneezing every 20 seconds. Trying not to catch it myself now! lol
