I'm half way through the dining room having been nagged by DS to phone ISP provider. In and amongst I got a discount (much to his annoyance; he wanted us to chage suppliers but a third off will do me;)) and after talking to 3 different operators (ion 3 phonecalss) finally got one who was really IT savvy and helped us reset our (non-supported) router. Oh and we're getting a new router too. I told DS he couls have it upstairs to make the IT work up there better. The look on his face was PRICELESS (because, of course, you can't have two routers on one line;))
Fortunately I had made a note of an important phone number.

I'm very very achey. I have sore fingers and hands and other bits are causing problems. I have no clue why. I'm keeping an eye on it all. Clearly it's making me a bit grumpy, too - hardly surprising but it does mean that. DD is being more helpful.

Anyway going to go back to the dining room shortly.

Mrs. C. - hope you're cleared for the solo flight and you reach your destination without problems. You know where we are. x

Happy Birthday Sammr! :D And Good Luck MrsChaos! Take it easy LW - incidentally, that website on the first page is very good at communicating what it is like to have Lupus (or any other illness that causes fatigue and muscle pain etc).

Does anyone have any idea how to removed caked on grease from a plastic kitchen tool (it's the rotator thingy from the scti-fry). I tried using a paste of bicarb of soda with water, but no joy. Can't use the Mr Muscle oven cleaner on it either. Scrubbing does nothing (except make my arms tired!), and neither does soaking.

*sigh* May just have to try and get a replacement part.

soak in bio wash powder overnight?
    sugar soap?
heat it up and scrape it off?
    burn it off?
    brillo pad?

Id go with oven cleaner.. if that melts the plastic then invest in another.. ;)

Thanks PigPen. I think I will try soaking in bio wash overnight.

I don't have any sugar soap, and no idea where to get it from here.

I also tried scraping it, nothing happened. Tried burning it off, nothign happened. lol. Haven't tried a brillo pad yet though, and I know they sell them here (i remember seeing them in the supermarket).

OK, so I have two more things to try, and after that, I'm taking the oven cleaner to it! lol

    Thank you :D

I'd soak in warm water and washing (household) soda - it lifted loads of grease off my extractor hood - was almost a pleasure to clean it.

Mrs Chaos - I for one will miss your posts very much. Hope all is ok with you - please do keep in touch.

Lots to get done, having a major purge of junk. Huge pile of outgrown boys clothes ready for the next CS bag, and all their clothes that now fit in the right place.
