Hey there, sorry for jumping onto this post. Any one any idea why phoenix would need me to be in to replace my gas meter that sits outside. Apparently there has been a meter exchange request from our gas supplier, not sure why this has happened. cheers.0

Thinking of converting to gas heating - three bedroom semi detached house - anyone had a recent experience regarding timescale and cost.0

Hi everyone,
Moving from oil to gas, could someone please PM the list of recommended installers and who to avoid. East Belfast area.
Thanks0 -
If anyone has it, I'd also like the list...
Also, have one to add to it (to avoid) if that's possible...0 -
Converted from oil to gas last year. Not sure if we're allowed to recommend installers on here?? Don't see why not - in any case Don Berardi (no personal connection) did ours and very impressed with the job - Great communication throughout and worked to schedule. Bulk of the work was done in one day. Very neat.
Work included flushing the old system and removed old oil tank from out the back.
Went for the bigger Worcester bosch condensing combi 42kw boiler for largish four bedroom house. Don't know how I ever survived without one. Wireless thermostat is also awesome.0 -
Can anyone PM me details of installers (good and bad) that cover East Belfast please? We've registered with Phoenix and are ready to get quotes to change from oil to gas.Norn Iron Club Member 3300

I was thinking of replacing my oil boiler for gas but although there is a gas line running out on the main road Phoenix Gas won't bring it into our cul-de-sac of 12 houses unless it's worth their while.
They are probably looking at least half the properties wanting to sign up for it.
Although Virgin were in a few months ago and done the lot 0
