Any tips for good gas installer. East belfast. Converting from oil? Thanks2014 reach my best.0

Pumps have now gone and oil fired boiler is 17 years old. Largish 4 bedroom house with an extra 2 bedrooms now in the converted loft.
I am thinking that my boiler is tiring and may not be that efficient, and it may be a false economy to repair the pumps. Thoughts?
Note that I also have a Pheonix Gas meter at the side of the house. It was never used, but it was installed for free a number of years ago.
Any recommendations for good and warnings for bad experiences with gas installers - PM me if you wish.
Also, would you go for a combi boiler? Family of 5, 3 teenage kids, and we have 2 electric showers.

Hi
I'd appreciate any recommendations too. I've been quoted £2500 for installation, flush of system & removal of tank etc. I think this is about right but maybe someone wiser could advise...
Thanks :beer:0 -

Hi,
First post here - hopefully this is in the right place. I am also wishing to switch from oil to gas central heating. I have had guy from Phoenix out to mark position of meter on wall so now need to find a gas registered plumber / installer to do the work - the list given my Phoenix is massive though!
Unfortunately I'm not eligible for any grants towards this work.
From what I have researched, I would presume that the work would involve the following; Complete removal of old boiler and hot water storage (in hot press) and cold water tank (in attic), flushing/cleaning all 9 radiators (replacing any as necessary and fitting TRV's to them all) and then supplying and fitting a new combi gas boiler where the hot water storage tank is now - preferably a worcester bosch. Does that work sound about right or are there any other factors I should consider when getting quotes?
Can anyone recommend any installers I could get a quote's from in the Lisburn / Belfast area for the above?
Thanks very much.
