Do you eat biscuits and things? if so, do you collect mcvities points and coinks points?
  • ooh I love biccies - though mostly get own brand ones for "normal" munching :o Branded ones have become a treat for us just now :(
but any perks are always welcome ... even if it takes me 6 months to reach anything worthwhile :rotfl: (wombles off to g**gle coinks)

  • Did my next bit of batch cooking whilst I cooked todays dinner .... :p

I now have 3 roasted chickens, all converted to portions or pieces ready to make up batches of freezer meals tomorrow. I also cooked a big batch of HM Roasties, which after dinner gave me enough for another 4 meals and now in the freezer. As are the carcasses - which I've now got enough in the freezer to make a big batch of stock with once I add a couple of other bits to it. :)

Tomorrow we will be having beef casserole (I never can understand the difference between casseroles & stews ???) which I'm doing in the slow cooker. Should be enough to make tomorrows dinner + 2 meals for the freezer.:)

Found a great bargain today at one of the local farmshops - big cauli's selling for 50p (they are huuuuge), so I picked up 6 :rotfl::rotfl: Some we had tonight, with some detined for to add to the casserole - With the rest, I'm planning on doing a batch cook of cauliflower cheese and a batch cook of soup for meals later this week & the freezer. :D

How sad is it that I'm getting exited over batch cooking ? You don't want to ask what I'm going to do with approx 30kg of Spuds (25kg bag picked up today, and half of one left from earlier buy) Feel a bit mis though ... one of the local PYO only opens March - Oct ... and I've driven passed several times recently and feel like crying over the amount of pumpkins that are just malingering on the ground there. The temptation to hop over the gate and rescue a couple is a bit of a struggle to resist :o

Well, enough rambling for tonight .. I'm planning an early start in the morning ... quick nip on here to catch up with my coffee before putting on my warehouse hat :rotfl:
