Sorry for being MIA, more problems with my service provider meant no internet access, and can’t login from work.

So quick summary & update :

Not an especially good outcome, but the best possible considering. It's also knocked some of my Monthly Tasks out as well. So those will be rolling over :cool: Not been able to do any surveys, so that knocked out my £10 a day October plans.

On a good note, my shop n scan thingies arrived, and I've uploaded my first batch of things this morning.
I've also done 4 M'Shops (due pay next month) and have at least one more booked for beginning of November so far - so that's good.

After all my work doing the curtains ... Mr GA managed somehow to pull down our bedroom ones .... rail as well :eek:
Annoyingly, most of the brackets have snapped so I cant just re-fix it, I'm either going to have to try to use one of the Poles, or buy a new rail. I can't even use the old rail for the doors due to lack of brackets .. unless I can buy replacements :wall:

No news yet on my WTC's or on the challenged parking ticket - think they will be on my task list for this week
Talking of which, I'd best go finish the draft so I can post it up. ... Well ... after I've had my bacon n egg butty :rotfl:

ahhh there you are ... was wondering if you had got lost grr to oh and the curtain poles ... talking of which after i wrote on your diary i struggled with my living room curtains and ... i dont believe i am going to admit to this but ... it was a big big struggle but i managed to close the curtains to the stage where there is a gap of about 5 or so inches ... i couldve possible struggled on more and got them fully shut ... the reason i dont believe i am going to admit this ... weve lived here for over 10 years and i have never managed to do this before ... but have often complained about the cold

Secondary tasks
5 ) [STRIKE]Repair / replace bedroom curtain rail[/STRIKE] :cool: DONE

Task 4 - I've got a big chunk of holiday to take, so I want to take the opportunity to get all of the storage stuff sorted, boxes emptied / furniture put insitu / paperwork sorted etc and unwanted stuff dealt with .. tipped / charity shop / sold ... the first two are fairly easy, but need to keep some boxes to put the selling stuff in.

So that's it for the moment folks :A

Can't believe I almost forgot to do the end of Month update for October's monthly tasks ... not that it was particularly well done

4) Garden - [STRIKE]Clear the beds by the windows in the front garden for the new (to be ordered) fruit bushes/shrubs to be planted up[/STRIKE]. DONE

So not a good result for October.

Three of the failures were partially down to not having internet (and can't use it for this kind of thing at work)

The worst bit is not meeting the £10 Oct target, so can't pay off the planned debts. £60 from Sept & £60 from Oct are going to pay off the £120 debt as planned. however I didnt make enough to follow through on paying off the 2nd lowest debt of £200.

So two will roll on to Novembers tasks and due to plans already set up for November - the other will have to move to Dec to finish.

Roll on November... lets hope it proves far more productive !

Spoke to Benefits Office, and just my luck - they don't appear to have my claim on record (sent in their prepaid envelope at the beginning of October). The person I spoke with has initiated a "trace" or whatever it's called, to try and locate the paperwork - but I'm not holding out much hope if they've not put it through by now. This apparently may take up to three weeks, at which point they will send me out another if it's not located.

By the time that arrives, goes back, gets processed .... it's going to be at least 8 weeks before I'm likely to hear back again. So bl00dy frustrating. Just hope when they okay it, that they also back date it properly - ie back dating from my original claim date (had already sent a letter in with claim requesting back dating per their helpline advice & claim notes)

Can't make up my mind whether I'm angry or despairing at this point. I really just don't know how I'm going to manage to get through the coming months.

I will have to put debt repayments on hold, as any extra money will not only be needed to get us through - but Mr GA has now got dental treatment needed & booked, which I'm going to need to find at least £300 to pay for. This is despite him being registered with them as an NHS patient.

Why is it, whenever I think I'm moving forward - I seem to get kicked straight back into touch again.

Enough for tonight. I was going to do November's Monthly task list - but I'm just not in the mood. Will do it tomorrow.

putting a trace on the documents, means they will trace them through the departments, ie from the postroom, all the way upto each department, as they may have been wrongly delivered to a department who have not yet bothered to pass onto correct department.

A word of advice - anything official that needs to be sent anywhere, always keep a copy. That way if they claim it has gone missing you can always offer to email your copy and they can pay for printing it off!

PS ... I've not forgotton Aesop - Just not a good day for it today... I will add list tomorrow, and you can batter it as much as needed and I muchly appreciate the input as always

Yeah, I learnt my lesson the hard way - and I did do a copy of the form & the letter that went with it.

It's just a bit depressing right now, when I could really be doing with it.
