  • Also had been trying to sell my ex's engagement ring to local jewellery shops, pawn brokers etc, no one wanted to buy it so tried it on BIN and sold it for more than the only shop that offered to buy it would offer! Have also sold a few other items he gave me during the year - he'd be very annoyed if he knew I sold the LE toy car he gave me for more than he bought it for! :j[/quote]

Sorry to be dumb - but can I ask what BIN is? Thanks x

BIN is short for Buy It Now.

    One person's junk...
I wouldn't have a clue how to fix a camera but the buyer probably knows how to put it back in perfect working order in 5 minutes flat. I've started buying pre-owned fantasy miniatures (Games Workshop/Warhammer type stuff) that are in a terrible state but very cheap (caked in slapped-on paint usually) which I restore and re-sell as good condition items.

Me and both of my brothers collected these for years... with a bit of bargaining I got my older bro to hand over his entire collection to me. I now have hundreds and hundreds of complete squads/individual characters/vehicles that I need to sell. Many are painted but to a reasonable standard, many more are just undercoated, I even used to buy professionally painted ones! Give me a PM if you're interested in any... I've got Imperial Guard (Catachan), Blood Angels, Dark Angels, Space Wolves and Orks as well as a few Chaos/Eldar...

This is a great thread! I never knew some of the things you can sell on ebay! I may just have to dig out the broken cameras that the kids play with and see if I can get some cash for them!

Well Dont know if anyone remembers but a couple or years back there was a freebie posted on mse for a ltd edition keane vinyl record & box.
Well I've been having a clear out and came across mine and whacked it on ebay for 99p n/r thought I would be lucky to get a couple of ££ for it, in the end sold it to a japanese collector for £10.50! not bad for a freebie!
Also sold my nephews old snowsuit last week which I got from a charity shop for £1, used it until he outgrw it & then sold it for £6!
