I save all sort of boxes. Mainly get them from work, also get lots of bubble wrap. Just like jenjade I save all my padded envelopes and for CD's, DVD's and PS games I use thick brown paper.

I've just wrapped an old stamp collection book in computer printout paper and brown tape.
The art I think is to save all bubble wrap and foam when you see it!

Thanks for the ideas. I only know one person in my non-virtual who sells on ebay and she keeps her hints and tips very secret!

  • A CD I bought about a year back came wrapped in wallpaper. I was quite impressed and even left a comment in the feedback about how I liked the fact his packaging was eco-friendly :)

This thread, which seems to have jumped back into action recently, has got me ebaying again. Listed two things already today (have scheduled them for Thurs night to get maximum exposure). Also, have noticed that the gallery photo is free from tomorrow until 30 Sep (including those scheduled to start within that period). This means its cheaper to schedule tomorrow with a gallery pic, than it is to list today without a gallery pic (only 9p cheaper, but still...!)

Mine take about 45 minutes each to list, from taking photos, uploading to photobucket, writing the text (or changing an old similar one), weighing, finding out postage costs, linking to photobuckets pics, and submitting. Is this normal, or am I taking way too long?

    NOW you tell me ;)

Just did some and didn't notice that. Damn!

Must find some more for tomorrow!

    Cheers

Have you tried using Turbo Lister (one of Ebays own free selling tools)? You can set up templates to save you time instead of using old listings, and all your listings are saved for future too. I find it takes me about half the time it used to since installing Turbo Lister. And if you use HTML then its even better.

You can find it here for download http://pages.ebay.co.uk/turbo_lister/

We used to use turbo lister but now use auctiva-it makes turbo lister look slow and you can upload more photos for free and scheduling is free too with auctiva-oh and btw auctiva is also free
I just want to point out I have no connection with auctiva - it's just a good quick way to list!!!
