Just dug my old phone box inners out of the recycling as I had already sold the phones via one of those sites that Martin has on his front page. ( I had kept the other bit for packaging)
I'm presently decluttering big style as I am going to sell my house and buy a park home or similar, I did think about putting it all on a car boot sale but reading through this thread has made me see that I should try Ebaying it first...
Bikinis??? do you reckon it would be better to sell a few together or list invidually, I have 15, 11 of them have not been worn, I did take the tags off tho (could kick myself now) I am unable to wear them as I had a mastectomy so they are surplus to requirements!! The same for a lot of strappy dresses and tops that I have... do you think I should put the reason behind why I am selling them... For those items (not the household stuff... btw.. I have a magic eye ball to list) I am going to donate 10% of whatever is made to the local macmillan support centre.
I must have text about 5 people saying things like... omg perfume bottles, ballet shoes..... throughout the time I have read this thread !!!0 -

I've just sat and read this whole thread, very interesting reading!
I've been ebaying our old junk for about 8 months now and I can confirm that people will literally buy anything. Some of my best sells have been:
My old clothes, mostly used.... some tops have gone for more than I paid for them new!
Mobile phones... even broken ones. A broken motorola v3i went for £45.00 last year.
A set of 4 candles in a gift box. These were a freebie from a cosmetics website for spending over so much. They went for £35.00
I'm waiting for my son to grow out of his thomas wooden railway stuff(he had LOADS of it), that sells very well.
You can't control everything in life....... your hair was put on your head to remind you of that

I sold a half used reel of cotton thread (for mending sails and splicing ropes) last year for £4.50 + postage. I found it in my boat. I looked on a site and they only cost £2.50 new ????
Also bought an electric use monitor from Scottish Power, and sold it after we had used it for much more than we paid for it.
Bought a new tiny LCD TV from Maplin and sold it for nearly twice what I paid for it three months later .... and the aerial was missing??
People are bananas to say the least!

Oh I feel the need to start selling after reading this!
Can you tell me how you package things though? I'm assuming clothing can just go some bubble wrap and brown paper. What about breakables like china and cameras?
Thanks for any help0
