true, but not to everybody, despite what the email settings might say.
If not posted here, check left side announcements on your ebay summary page.

Many thanks to all who mention the free listing days here- I've subscribed to the thread!

Agreed, my email seems to come very last minute if at all so its always handy to have an announcement here so I can get organised.:D

Its free listing weekend for 26th + 27th Jan on ebay!
  • I once sold a year's worth of belly button fluff on eBay - never seen as many watchers on an item of mine (1000's) but unfortunately it only went for 1p plus P&P in the end!

The chap who bought the bag of fluff wanted it sending to someone else (for a practical joke I guess).

What price did you start the auction??? If it started at 99p, how did it get to £170!!! There must be other bidders? You wouldn't have started at anything above £100 would you? Well done you - I'm off to look for old catalogues.
  • I recently sold some batteries I got from the pound shop for £2.99 plus £1.25 postage. Clearly not a get rich scheme but it did make me chuckle......
  • I bought a chiminea a couple of years ago in a B&Q sale for something silly like £10.

I put it in the garage, intending to use it. For a couple of years. I've suddenly found myself moving to a place without a garden so I offered it for sale for £25 incl local delivery thinking someone would knock me down.

My word, my inbox was full that night. I could have sold it a couple of dozen times over!

Tried again last week with a remote control car we won. No word of a lie, it's been sat in a cupboard since 2008. Original price was around £40 I believe. Threw it up for half the original selling price (with a link to somewhere selling it for £40) and bam! 3 emails offering the asking price.

One man's tat is another man's treasure I guess....
