You may have read about this in the news recently

Though bizarrely someone else sold one also for a big amount later on the same day, which looks nothing like him

So my Playstation 3 40GB "fat" died with a Yellow Light of Death. I thought it was worthless as it's non-functional but no, I took it apart and sold the blu-ray drive which was working fine on eBay and sold it for £45 minus fees etc, I even took out the dead motherboard and auctioned it for parts/spares and it went for £10.50! The buyer left feedback saying they were delighted with it! The working hard drive is up for sale now and it will go for a fiver at least, maybe more.
Amazing. :j
edit: the hard drive sold for £9 and I even sold the empty case, also for £9!!! :eek:Blessed are the geeks, for they shall inherit the Internet.0 -
I listed some stuff last week, and I've already had bids on a pair of pinstripe trousers (age 14), a BBC Greek language book + 2 cassettes, and some spare Trivial Pursuit playing pieces (not even complete). I'm not going to make a fortune, but it's better than putting it in landfill.0
