Bitsy.take it easy...hopefully you will sleep better tonight and have more energy tomorrow....

Dreamyd........well done on taking in your EH....I'm sure his parents are relived that you are around....

Made 8 big hamburger rolls yes.with dough from the breadmaker.they always turn out well and dont last long.....had overnight visitors last night breaking their journey on the way to Eilat so made 2 pizzas[again g-d bless the breadmaker] for supper, made choc. chip cookies as they are a favourite with them and sent them off this morning with the remainder for their holiday.... Also used my hummingbird book for the first time and made the caramel cupcakes....they turned out great and will definatly make them again! only thing was I had a senior moment making the topping and tried to incorperate 500 ml of milk into the cream instead of 50!!..so we are eating them without topping and calling them caramel muffins!...

Its been nice having dd2 here for almost a week now but tomorrow she is off back to city....its her bf's birthday tomorrow so havin just taken butter out to soften and will be making granola cookies for her to take to him [his favourite]

hope everyone is having a peaceful sunday......welcome newbies and hugs and spoons to those in need.....

bramble, you could do diet friendly baking for your treats like beetroot chocolate cake and vegetable breads.

Afternoon all, I'm having my most productive and OS day in ages :j
Two loads of washing, white towels/sheets bleached, vacuuming done. There's 3 portions of chicken stew in the SC with extra juice that I'll turn into 1.5L of soup while we eat- quick meals for me and OH! Some how have also crammed in four hours of uni work and tending to the plants.

Now i'm in my new house I want to do a big online shop but can't decide between approved foods and BB4L! Lots of useful bits or just basic flour, rice and beans? Hmm!

    Evening all

Beautiful day here-went to Bradford on Avon this afternoon and had a walk along the towpath and a cuppa in the sunshine. Spotted some sloes I think and didn't have a container for them eek!

Ds bedding dried nicely on the line. Came home and went to cook mixed bean chilli but had a senior moment and ended up with mixed bean curry. Quite nice though so not the disaster I thought it might be. We don't cook the roast dinners we used to any more as not much family these days so we please ourselves usually on Sundays and cook a roast when we feel like it.

OH picked me some sweet peas and is now doing the washing up and Ds's lunch for tomorrow...lovely man! It's our 37th Wedding anniversary on Wednesday.

Thinking about making a little strawberry jam tomorrow as Lidl had some nice strawberries for 99p when I popped over for a pack of their 74p peppers(weekend offer)earlier.

Have a good evening all and I hope the sun shines again tomorrow.

    afternoon all

the day turned out different in the end. hubby took ds to the cinema and it was sold out  so he came back and we took ds to a little farm nearby instead. just as we got there the rain came down  wandered around for a little bit and ds had a go on the toy tractors. the rain then got really heavy  took shelter in the shop but it didnt slow down so hubby had the idea of the REME musuem. ds loved it. lots of tanks and a helicopter to look at. also made a parachute and helicopter to drop in the 'drop zone'.

ds is worn out but has gone completely hyper now :rotfl: bath time and bed for him now

hope everyone has had good days :)

I've had a lovely day, but am sooo tired now. Baby Isla is beautiful :D she was so well behaved, we all had long cwtches (hugs) and I got to feed her a bottle. she barely cried at all. My friend loved the gift I bought (baby's name on bunting). After the visit we went to the Cabot's Circus shopping centre for food and a quick wander.

Think I need an early night, a busy weekend when ill is catching up with me.

    Have a good night all

Only just managed to make it on here. Wouldlike to say I've been very OS but the truth is I've had a raging hangover . Ended up at my neighbours last night. Have managed to do a tip run today and start on the front garden. Tea was wood pigeon for DS and the cats, I couldn't face it so I had cauliflower cheese!

Have to confess I've no idea much about the thread at the mo. Hope all is well and big hugs to anyone having a rough time.

LOU Margueritte Pattern has a recipie for crab apple jelly in her book, you might be able to get it at the library.

    Have a good night all
