    Hi everyone. :)
Making bread today, I put a batch of no knead bread out to rise last night and it didn't :( so assume the yeast is no longer active, which is a waste of an entire tub of it!
So will start from scratch which I was trying to avoid due to arthritic hands.
Tidying the daughters bedroom today, including bleaching a patch of damp in one corner of the walls, the curse of no central heating.
Was supposed to be working today but due to a bad tetanus shot reaction am taking it easy, so aside from watching a movie this afternoon and cooking dinner, that's about it.
Hope everyone has a lovely Sunday and takes it easy!

    morning !

the suns shining, its forecast to rain, the winds howling about and shockingly i have the day free from children and a bloke .
Shockingly the house is quiet, well apart from the elephant cat bouncing on the stairs squealing feed me. Scabby cat is still asleep on the bed, can hear her snoring from here.

It's snips (ds2) first ever caving trip, he's going with his coddy (ds1), dad and some other peeps. It should be good, but i'm crapping myself, i do every time the boys go. I shouldn't thought because coddy is classed an an experienced caver and could easily rescue a trapped adult.

so today i may have a mooch into town, but mainly going to sort some stuff out in the house, i.e tidy the pit. Or i may just sack it all off, watch a film and carry on attempting to knit a jumper or a scarf.

    Hmm what to do.

    Morning everyone,

We have a son free zone atm,as DS2 got up yesterday and announced that he was going to the V festival to join his brother-he'd been out with a mate the night before and they both wished they'd gone,so they did ;),sooo peaceful.I may do a bit of sewing or crochet, but am going to pop out for a paper first.

We were out last night,so ended up checking ebaay messages at 1am,DS2 usually deals with it and 3 items were finishing, all heavy stuff so local pick up and had to arrange times-hope my messages made sense as I'd had a glass or two :rotfl:

Easy tea tonight as we're off to football this aft :jMeeting my ex SIL and her new hubby(he's from the opposition :D) so should be fun.

Tru- good luck with the strike :D- I may join you one of these days,3 men in the house does not lead to a tidy house-I don't think they even notice the mess they make :(

Have a good Sunday everyone xx

    Congratulations to Mait!
BB, love your post, Hope you can catch some sleep later.
    Welcome to the new folk.
Tru - I like your style!

Work last night wasn't too bad, quite a good team on so it went really quickly. Up fairly early this morning, have made a fruit cake and cookies to take to DS1 and Fiance, thought it may be nice for them to have something in for all the visitors. Also made pancakes for DD before she went off to work so I am a good mum this morning!

Washing on the line, DW on, ironing done, just me to get a bath (need to shave those important bits and bobs). Also have to go to DDs work to get the sat nav as I can't find my way to DS1s on my own! It's only 5 mins up the road so not too bad.

Have a good day all, I will enjoy having a cuddle with my new DGD later. Take care. XX

    Morning all,

Am having one of those 'do I don,t I' moments with mount laundry - was tipping down earlier, but is just grey and warm now - think i,ll risk it, determined not to use tumble!

Will do some more cooking as my dear OH has thinned the veg bed and we now have a load of carrots and beetroot and onions to deal with...

Have a great day all x

  • Hi all
The spare room is finished & if needed could be used instantly, I've had a clean & sort out of the DGC's toybox from under the stairs, thrown away all the oddments that were broken or had parts missing & it all now fits in one lidded box. I was gazing distractedly at yet another bag of apples when inspiration struck, DGD is 7 months & just starting on solids, so I've made about 30 portions of stewed apple sweetened with honey & as soon as they are cool they will go in the freezer. I shall drop them off with DD along with the cot bumper & quilt I found & washed yesterday.
Now on with the ironing, deep joy.
    Have a good afternoon all.
    Hugs Hester
