I get now £1.50 instead of £2 - I am still a bit puzzled why my account shows -£1.50 as if I owed £1.50 instead of Avon owing me, unless it's the way they show it.
The bit on the e-suite that shows your balance always shows what you owe Avon. So if there's a number with no minus sign in front you owe that figure. It does seem a bit of a backwards way of doing it when you think about it!
Update on "avon" in e-mails - even though my ASM told me it was fine for reps to do this, Avon have responded on Connects saying it's not. So this rule about not using "avon" in e-mails applies to all reps and SLs. Sorry about the confusion my post might have caused but I thought the ASM would know. And if I hadn't posted it on Connects I would have gone on believing it was fine for reps.I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for.I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.

Ok, re 3 liqui glide eyeliners I really got angry today! yesterday this customer (staff at my DD's nursery) said she ordered with 2 other ladies and they wanted 3 of them. Fine I said I'd check what I can do about it. Then she grabbed (literally!) the bag with products and said 'I will try them and if I don't like them I won't take them'. I said I am not allowed to hand in products without money but she would not listen.
I went home and checked her order form - she put 3 items but for the price of £3.00 - I must have looked at the price only as she also ordered 2 of other eyeliners and she put 2 under quantity and £6.00 as the price (3 for £3.00). I worried half of the night she would not pay or sth.
Went in the morning and she just was talking about other customers who also ordered etc. - finally I say I need the money and she goes oh yeah the money as if it was nothing. Then she brings me £7.00 (order came to £9) so I politely tell her it should be £9.
Then she says no because we ordered 3 liqui glide eyeliners for £3.00 - meaning £1.00 each. How the heck could they be £1.00??
So again I went off and actually had brochure c15 at work and checked they were half price for £3 unless I am missing something?
She also said she will return it if it's not £1.00.
I mean have you ever seen an eyeliner for £1?
Anyway, the bottom line is I am short of £2 and have a customer who is rather impolite least to say. I don't even know who were two other members of staff who ordered these eyeliners.
And also learned today that an order went missing in the nursery - one of the staff ordered two sets of rare gold perfumes for less than half price and when I said I'd try to see if I can order for the same (less than half price - £6) price she said she doesn't want it anymore, and maybe in the future :-(
It's raining here and I have to go out to collect my books are re-distribute. What a day lol
Ugh, horrible day. I would accept the eyeliner back as a returns then speak to the other staff who ordered one whilst showing them the brochure to clear up any misunderstandings. Can't be all three of them got it wrong, maybe the one you're dealing with was just going to pocket the extra (I have a nasty mind:D).
The other staff member whose order you weren't given - perhaps you could see her in person or suggest she can phone/email her order to you in future?
You get days like this but hang in there. It's the customers' fault and not yours. Occasionally one will misread the brochure so it's wise to check all orders when recieved so you can raise discrepancies with them before ordering.
I hopefully have a new customer - work colleague who uses lots of make-up. She may just be the replacement I need for a bestie who passed away recently (I mean this nicely, not as harsh as it sounds).

Oh yes, I'm hanging in - have no choice as need the hours for my tax credits.
Talking of passing away I have received bad news about a very close person who passed away. It really got me down as she was the healthiest person I've known, natural therapis and healer, master of Reiki (a form of bioenergotherapy) - in September she found out she had cancer, I saw her a few days ago and could not believe what I saw. I hope she rests in peace.
I still pushed myself and went out to collect my books and canvas a new street. Got only 3 back (out of 20!) but at least one had an order for £10. I'm now up to just over £40 and keep my fingers crossed that I get at least to the minimum of £780 -

Yes, it's the way Avon show it i.e. a -£x.xx figure means your account is in credit.
Really sorry to hear about your friend.
As for Avon, there are lots of different ways to increase your sales - don't think you are limited to going door to door - chances are your Friends/Family will be your biggest supporters and then there's E-Bay, FB (load a virtual book on your Facebook page), car boot/table top sales, just put your thinking cap on about anyone and everyone you know personally.
Good luck. Hope that helps.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

I have had such a bad campaign! I put out 1 set of C16 books on a new st and no orders! I just havent had the time to go and do my old street and order is due on Monday!
Going to have to and drop the books tomorrow morning before I start my new job at 10am and after I drop my daughter to school. Talk about tight! Will request they be left out for Monday so I can order Monday evening and hopefully get some good orders.
Im damn lucky I have a good family friend network who order and I already have 7 orders through that to get me started.
I have a quick question though, I have some items I need to return... now if I have say £160 of sales and say £30 returns (i dont but its just an example) would that mean i would lose my HOV due to the returns?0 -

I was thinking in the morning about facebook - how do you do it? I don't really like using fb since some idiot - a friend of my friend took a pic off my profile, a picture of my little girl, and pput as her profile picture! Quite sick. That was over a year ago and since then I have not put anything on fb. But high time to start.
I left books today in libriarians' office at the university (they were reluctant but never know), at the post room for my faculty at the uni - the guy was really surprised but I asked him nicely to show to his female colleagues and in one of the PhD rooms. I will keep looking for different ways.
Oh and I also left one book with the cleaners but I was told someone does Avon as well - anyway a nice lady took it from me and said she'd leave in their changing room.
I am a foreigner so I don't have any family at all here and only a very small network of friends (who all ordered in the last campain:)).
So this campain looks very weak for me too.0 -

If only you can get enough for an order that's still progress:)
I don't think Avon would penelise you in this way - returns are not our fault. I'd have thought they'd just take off your earnings (of the products you return). But I'm sure someone more experienced will answer this.0 -

Got to admit am not a great fan of FB either but.... to load the book onto your page you go to the link on your Avon webpage. (Usually it's on your front page somewhere albeit they keep updating the website and it seems to be a 'moveable feast' LOL) Just search out 'load to FB/Twitter etc. and follow the instructions.
What about offering an incentive i.e. 'free gift with orders £10/15+'? Everyone likes a freebie and if you stick to anything in the customer book @ 99p then you'll still make a profit. (Room/Linen sprays and/or hand creams are usually a good, safe bet.)
Make sure you check your emails regularly too for offers from Avon that need to be snapped up on that day i.e. in October we had 'Manic Monday' offers (this week was Glimmersticks @ 99p :j); historically we've had Eyelift @ £1.25/£3 and serums @ £5. Current Internet offer is the Derma-full x3 @ £5.50 Put a flyer in with your books offering them out at, say, £7.50 Customers are loathe to order premium products at full (offer) price but let them know you can offer them a better deal than book price and you'll naturally start to grow a very loyal customer base.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

No, don't worry; you've already been given your 25%/HOV discount so they can't take it back.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)
