Not sure if anyone will be awake to answer these questions before I have to put my order in, but I'd be so grateful if someone did!

Firstly, this is my second campaign, will they send me free brochures? Because they did with the last campaign and if so, I don't wanna order some and end up with too many!

Also, I currently have £60 worth of orders (although, that does include £7 worth for me and by OH, whoops!), can anyone do the maths on whether it'd be worth spending more to reach the £78 to get commission? I don't wanna miss out on commission, but at the same time I don't want to spend out lots to reach the target and then up in a net loss!

I don't know if you got a reply (haven't got that far yet!) You should be given books for your 2nd campaign by your upline. You should however be ordering your books for your 3rd campaign now as you need to be putting them out before they are delivered otherwise.
I would be inclined to see what your total is once you put your books on, then try to make it up as you will be paying £7.50 admin to Avon so at least it will pay towards that. Get some fragrances to use as demos. You can always return in them in a couple of campaigns time when you have more orders, and they may well get you some sales in the mean time. HTH

Betterware rep - another rep in the village also mentioned this to the ASM and she replied to my e-mail saying the Betterware rep has said she won't canvas for Avon customers anymore.

Using "avon" in your e-mail address - as a rep I was confused as to where I stood so asked the ASM what I could/couldn't do. The reply was this:

Reps can use the word "avon" in an e-mail address. SLs cannot.

Credits - these are always at the price we paid for them. When you look at the money going back-and-forth you'll see that, at the end of the process, you haven't lost or gained money, which is how it should be. You shouldn't be earning anything when a return takes place, but you also shouldn't be losing out.

Customer buys item for £2 £2 comes in
The item costs you £1.50 £1.50 goes out
Customer returns the item so you give a full refund £2 goes out
Avon refunds you the cost of the item £1.50 comes in

At this point everything has balanced out. If Avon refunded the brochure price of the item you'd end up 50p in profit at the end of the process even though nothing had been sold.
I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for. :( I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.
  • I had to do my first replacement last night. I had ordered a concealed which didn't come but there was a lipstick in the box which I didn't order. I couldn't see an option wrong item sent so I had to go for charged for but missing from box- so does this mean I get a free lipstick?

Sometimes they send you a replacement product if something is not available, but I wouldn't have thought they would send you a lipstick in place of a consealer. I would suggest double checking your invoice for it. Sometimes I find I get things and think "I didn't order that" and it ends up being part of a set like with a beauty bonus bag or something!

Do you know what I'd do? If I was a new rep and she was a potentially good customer (3 liqui-glides sound like a good customer to me), I would confess to my error then order the remaining 2 at a loss to myself to ensure customer satisfaction. They were half price in C15 which is why they were so cheap. Buying 2 at £5 ea, selling at £3 will cost you £1.50 (subject to HOV), a very small price to pay to ensure the customer thinks you're great rather than unreliable.

Don't beat yourself up, though about these types of mistakes. We all make them - some of us quite regularly!

I have done this before and would reccomend it too because it could be the difference between having a customer who orders most camps or losing a customer completely.

Well I ticked everything in my box against the delivery note and the only this missing was the concealed and the lipstick wasn't on the delivery note. And it's the only this left over from filling the bags from customers order forms.

If Avon had sent a replacement would they not have noted it somewhere like saying the concealer was oos?

I have tonight received an email from credit Expert tonight to tell me that Avon have put a default notice on my file and after looking I found this has caused my rating to plummet to somewhere in the 300 mark making it in the poor category!

I am devastated that all my hard work has been ruined due to this. What happened with Avon is I owe them £110 according to their records but I have £80 of stock to return (due to a duplicate order being processed) I have attempted many times to arrange for them to collect this so that I can pay the remaining balance but each time I have either missed the van driver, they haven't shown up at all or the collection wasn't actually arranged.

Avon have a 90 day Returns policy. To have put a default on your credit file you must be way beyond that.

Hello and thank you for all the helpful advice.

I get now £1.50 instead of £2 - I am still a bit puzzled why my account shows -£1.50 as if I owed £1.50 instead of Avon owing me, unless it's the way they show it.

Ok, re 3 liqui glide eyeliners I really got angry today! yesterday this customer (staff at my DD's nursery) said she ordered with 2 other ladies and they wanted 3 of them. Fine I said I'd check what I can do about it. Then she grabbed (literally!) the bag with products and said 'I will try them and if I don't like them I won't take them'. I said I am not allowed to hand in products without money but she would not listen.
I went home and checked her order form - she put 3 items but for the price of £3.00 - I must have looked at the price only as she also ordered 2 of other eyeliners and she put 2 under quantity and £6.00 as the price (3 for £3.00). I worried half of the night she would not pay or sth.
Went in the morning and she just was talking about other customers who also ordered etc. - finally I say I need the money and she goes oh yeah the money as if it was nothing. Then she brings me £7.00 (order came to £9) so I politely tell her it should be £9.
Then she says no because we ordered 3 liqui glide eyeliners for £3.00 - meaning £1.00 each. How the heck could they be £1.00??

So again I went off and actually had brochure c15 at work and checked they were half price for £3 unless I am missing something?

She also said she will return it if it's not £1.00.

I mean have you ever seen an eyeliner for £1?

Anyway, the bottom line is I am short of £2 and have a customer who is rather impolite least to say. I don't even know who were two other members of staff who ordered these eyeliners.

And also learned today that an order went missing in the nursery - one of the staff ordered two sets of rare gold perfumes for less than half price and when I said I'd try to see if I can order for the same (less than half price - £6) price she said she doesn't want it anymore, and maybe in the future :-(

It's raining here and I have to go out to collect my books are re-distribute. What a day lol
