  • ok just wanted to say - it really does pay to offer an alternative on delivery!

Normally I would just say "sorry XYZ didn't arrive, I can back order it for you" bla bla bla, but tonight it was a shampoo and I had an alternate one in the stock i ordered to sell anyway so asked would she like it as an alternative or I could order the extra bottle (she had ordered multiples) but she said she would take the alternate to give it a try woohoo.

Downside is a customer called me as once they opened their kiera watch there was a diamonte missing from around the face and so she wants to return it :( boo. I mean I get that she wants to return it, I would too! I just wish it hadn't been flawed lol

Fully agree re alternatives if you happen to have something similar. Re the watch, does she want an actual return or a replacement? Worht checking as you can put in for an immediate replacement.
Still looking for the plot...... Anyone seen it???
  • return, i offered to get it replaced but she said no thanks as she doesn't really trust it will come perfect next time either. Shame as she had the summer version of the same watch. Fingers crossed she will buy another when shes looked at the next book though :)

I spoke to the person who collected the Betterware book (that also had Avon flyer in). Only problem was she wasn't the rep. She said she was helping out collecting the books. She was very nice and did say they didn't want to tread on other reps' toes. I explained that Avon allocate territories to canvas so a call to the ASM for an area would be the best thing to do.

I thought it was a bit strange to have sent someone else to collect the books in for her. I like to do things a certain way and am a "if you want a job doing well, do it yourself" kind of person :D not to mention that Avon and Betterware are both ways of shopping that mean the customer establishes a relationship with the rep because they see the same person every time. Maybe she was ill - that's the only reason I'd send my husband out on my behalf and fortunately I haven't had to do that yet. There's been a couple of times where I thought I might have to (stomach issues so it's not like I could soldier through it like a cold) but it was okay.
I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for. :( I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.
  • Hi,
ive just had my first delivery, and within it was 1 clearance book for campaign 17 and a bundle of clearance books for C18, am I right in thinking I keep hold of the C18 ones until I distribute the C18 books?
    Thanks

Thank you! How do i know what expenses i can deduct? I work 14hr a week in my pt job so hopefully with my 2hrs Avon i'll be entitled to WTC is that right? It varies but generally i earn £30-£60 without taking off any expenses etc. DO i need to pay any NI? I know i pay it on my PT job but do i need to do anything else? what q's do i need to answer on a tax assesment form? Thank u

you can tell tc you work 2-3 hours a week on avon and earn £10-15 a week profit.. thats fine.

I only do avon and do 18-24 hours a week on it as im a single mum and so had trouble getting another job...... i claim CTC and WTC based on me earning a measly £40 a week profit (for all that work:eek::eek::eek: ) and they were fine about it...despite it meaning i earn way less than minimum wage!

Their is a small earnings exemptions certificate you can get for NI as you wont be earning £6,000+ a year from self employment, cant remember what its called though.... and the tax assessment is really easy... once you get your head round it and if youve kept good records!
  • thank you! what things do i need to keep as records to help?

Yeah the number on the sale booklet matches that of the main brochure it goes with.

Qualified as Sales Leader today :D Very pleased as it's only my 2nd campaign recruiting, and haven't been able to commit as much time and effort as I would have liked due to cirumstances beyond my control. My upline has been fab though, and that makes all the difference.
For some reason I can't view my sl statement though, it is still showing last month's, so I can't see what I have earned in bdb etc. Does it take longer for me than my ASM?
Still looking for the plot...... Anyone seen it???
